  1. Some good points there, although i doubt if Mr Frost is short of a few bob. I would imagine the 3 loan signings may not all feature next year, possibly Larsen will and may be bought. Sundstrom was purchased straight from the prem lge and has become a heat leader. Its only a few years ago when P'boro had Bjerre, NKI, Batch and Schlein in the same team dont forget, but the Elite lge is being watered down with points limits every year, and the new 2/20 ruling has restricted team building even more. I dont think that ruling or the new d/up regs are beneficial at all.
  2. Bach has not made any statements about that, Lawson did, but Jan Staechmann refuted that on Jan 8th, saying Lawson was never promised a team place, only that he would be considered.
  3. So are we to debate fantasy and speculation ? Whats the point of your post then.
  4. Has he had an offer of employment ? Thought certain posters on here were insisting no deal was done.
  5. What problems with Bach, please tell us ? ? Lawson was never offered or promised a team place because they are not going with any d/up riders. Thats not a problem, thats team selection. Absolute nonsense.
  6. But the court action would be against the BSPA, not Frostie, they have passed the ruling. I expect Swindon will buy him, with a fee decided by tribunal. No one wants any rider to miss out, despite all the opinions on this subject.
  7. Any idea who would fund this court action, bearing in mind he is not a european.
  8. You have interpreted that rule incorrectly in this case.
  9. I dont blame Poole at all for keeping Holder and Ward, they are the head and shoulders above anyone else in the elite lge, and the best top two since Gollob and Rickardsson at Ipswich in 1998.
  10. Yes thats true, but i dont recollect any fuss in P'boro signing these riders, all done above board and within the regulations. When P'boro were first interested in Troy, did not the Swindon promotion insist on a full transfer. and did not Mr Frost get his chq book out and purchased him on a full transfer as requested by Swindon. Is this not a fact ? The big question here is why Swindon are so reluctant to buy him back.....
  11. Agreed, if he had proposed a squad system for the reserve berths, to include at least one British rider in each team, then maybe he would have won support for his idea. As it was, the motive behind it was self interest.
  12. Agreed, that proves the current system does not work, and unfortunately the rules and regulations that surround it are not enforced consistently. Its time these clowns(bspa) looked long and hard at it. If a rider has been purchased, that club should recieve a loan fee until that fee is recouped, if he has not been bought he should be a free agent. There is so much movement of riders that it is hard to offer long term contracts, thats why the asset system is unworkable in its present format.
  13. Its a miracle how the panthers have assembled a cracking team with no one wanting to ride for them....
  14. Thats sorted then, get your cheque book out and everyone is happy
  15. One play off victory against a decimated Poole team and your a proper club eh. Funny how your 'proper club' needs our assets to make up nearly 50% of your team. A proper club gets their cheque book out and buys the rider, as P'boro did with Troy when he fell out with Swindon, that is the issue here.
  16. No one is keen on buying Batch because they know its only a matter of time before the toys come flying out of the pram, and he's off again. Maybe he should buy his own contract out, then he can move around without all this fuss..
  17. Are you suggesting the BSPA ruling should be ignored ? A lawless sport, do what you want, when you want...Thats a wild west attitude.
  18. Not too good is a polite way of saying 'kin awful'...........his home average last season was only 4.08.
  19. Hougaard, North, Larsen and Fish should all increase their average, Linus and Kenny will be solid and Norbert could improve as he did last year. This team will win points away from home, and should be hard to beat at home again. Looking foward to the new season....
  20. Where did you get those figures from ? If Lakeside get an average 2500 plus gate to double that of P'boro, then they must have been wearing invisible clothing whenever i have been there..
  21. As long as you enjoy your speedway thats all that matters. I hope the Hammers have a good year, after 2012 you deserve it and then some. Must go, off to a seance now...
  22. Quite agree, some folk dont know the difference between riding and racing it seems .......
