The electronic age has captured the minds of young folk, speedway and many other sports are not on their radar. There is nothing you can do to change this im afraid, its a different generation now.

Domestic speedway is in a decline situation, i would like to think this will turn around, but i cant see that happening. The world has changed and not many kids have speedway on their radar, they would rather play with their gadgets and game stations. Presentation is so dreadful at some tracks, the meeting can become boring because of it. Why does it take over two hours to run 15 heats, its just not good enough and must be addressed.

It certainly sounded like it sometimes, you could well be correct about that.

I think riders should be paid on the number of opposition riders they beat, not team mates.

I cant see it doing anything for team riding at all.

Hard to understand why you would not welcome the Bees to your place, its not the result that matters, its a good test for your team and a chance to see an Elite outfit.

Maybe the Lions should start the meeting with a 12 point advantage as they are a prem lge club. This would give the fixture a good starting point and could help make it a closer meeting. Bees would have to win 52-38 to win the meeting.

Watching meetings at Belle Vue and Lakeside on tv, im suprised they can pay their electric bill...

Speedway's decline is mirrored by quite a few sports, and i can only tell you what my son tells me. He knows of very few people at his school that go to speedway, but when i was at school most of the lads in my class always went. Youngsters are no longer into sports like angling either, they all save their money to buy the new PS3 game or latest iphone. Times have changed im afraid.

It would appear the only one seeking attention is yourself, its no ones business if some people like the company of dogs. Must be better than having to tolerate some of the 'humans ' on here...

Yes indeed, you will find a few that 'grow a pair' when they are tucked up safe behind a keyboard. Just ignore them....

On facebook he said he has done a deal with a team and they will announce it when their ready. He has already announced his Polish club.

Dakota North has already done a deal with a club, just not announced yet. I suspect it is Sheffield or P'boro, it cant be both as all P'boro riders will be full time elite this year.

Lots of potential in this team, if the new kids hit the ground running you could be in with an outside chance this year.

His F/B page sez 'the team' which would suggest one team. Could be panthers..

Dakota North has agreed terms in the UK, maybe elite, premier or both. Will be announced soon according to his facebook page.

Dakota has a Polish team this year, and dont be suprised if he gets a doubling up role at parent club Peterborough this year.
