  1. Indeed, someone has messed this up big time...Sam must be gutted.
  2. Vissing is a solid performer, if he stays fit you may well challenge for honours this year.
  3. My household all thought the presentation was much better than Sky. Not having to put up with studio drival and Chris Louis always wearing a shirt 3 sizes too small was an added bonus.
  4. John Louis for me, started riding speedway at the age of 29 and went on to be one of the top riders in the world very quickly. Gave his all for home club Ipswich, probably at the expense of individual gory, bringing league titles and cup glory to a team made up mostly of local lads. Became the first Englishman to rostrum for many a year when coming 3rd at Wembley in 1975, a World Pairs title in 1976 and 4 World Team Cup wins in 72,73,74 and 75. A genuine local boy that came good, we can only wonder how many titles he could have won if he had started as a teenager. Top man, on and off the track.
  5. Knowing Elvin as i do, i would advise you can now safely put your house on the Rebels if thats his prediction.
  6. Some very good points there, a change of track could well help him progress even further. Hope he does well this year for both clubs.
  7. Allen and Bunyan look a strong pairing, keep them quiet and it should be a comfy home win.
  8. It must be sorted out for sure. In my opinion its the biggest reason why so many people only go once and never come back, especially youngsters.
  9. Forecast for easter is colder than average and unsettled...not looking too good im afraid. Lets hope they are wrong. Should be a comfy home win on good friday i would have thought.
  10. Not those who go, im sure they still enjoy it. Its getting them to go in the first place and keeping their attention.
  11. Whatever floats your boat...good luck with your small flutter Youngsters are into the digital age, times have changed. Speedway action is 15mins spread over 2plus hours. Kids find that boring these days i'm afraid.
  12. Only if you believe encouraging a teenager to gamble, which some would say is a road to ruin.
  13. This thread is about attracting youngsters, i fail to see how betting has got anything to do with that.
  14. Its a sport where you can sit or stand with opposing fans without fear of getting thumped, and subjected to filthy language. We dont need escorting to the ground by police and dont fear for our childrens safety from violence. Speedway supporters should be proud of that fact, they are top notch fans in my book.
  15. The electronic age has captured the minds of young folk, speedway and many other sports are not on their radar. There is nothing you can do to change this im afraid, its a different generation now.
  16. Domestic speedway is in a decline situation, i would like to think this will turn around, but i cant see that happening. The world has changed and not many kids have speedway on their radar, they would rather play with their gadgets and game stations. Presentation is so dreadful at some tracks, the meeting can become boring because of it. Why does it take over two hours to run 15 heats, its just not good enough and must be addressed.
  17. It certainly sounded like it sometimes, you could well be correct about that.
  18. I think riders should be paid on the number of opposition riders they beat, not team mates.
  19. I cant see it doing anything for team riding at all.
  20. Hard to understand why you would not welcome the Bees to your place, its not the result that matters, its a good test for your team and a chance to see an Elite outfit.
