Been saying this for years now, the play offs should be on the bank holiday weekend at the end of August and then run Cup competition/individuals after that weather permitting.
-
Dry weather only means no rain forecast, probably won't be warm enough to dry anything out sufficiently for the meeting to go ahead, or if it does, won't be a great spectacle

Time to sack Phil Morris?

A quick look at Companies House gives you an idea of finances... -
Time to sack Phil Morris?

Must be money somewhere when riders are on 150-200 pound a point... And that was a decade ago. -
Birmingham v Sheffield - 22nd July

The problem is, where is the inspiration going to come from to reinvent the sport because the SCB certainly have no interest... -
Yes, this can cause an issue but the laser can read numerous labels at once, but if there is still an issue it gets re-labelled within a few hours and should be on its way without any issues in the same day

Kretinsky doesn't own it.... Yet.

King’s Lynn 2024 serious team predictions
The Dog replied to SamKM91's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Whichever way you dress the situation up and word it, it's a shambles and farcical. The sport in this country suffers but nowhere near as much as the fans. Sadly, it probably won't be the last time this happens this season either -
I'm not sure that replacing Pawlicki with Lindgren is going to be a cost cutting exercise

Birmingham vs King’s Lynn, May 13th 2024

So did it rain heavily enough to make it a good decision? -
Bang on post. Will be able to repeat in 2035..

Whilst I appreciate that not every rider commands these sort of earnings, is it only me that thinks riders are vastly overpaid at a time when the fans are on the wane? I mean, how sustainable is nearly 2k for a heat win?
-
He wouldn't be my choice either but I think from Birminghams point of view he would be good signing
-
I think Schlein would tick a lot of boxes for Brum, knows the riders and promotion well, good out of the gate and Birmingham is a smallish track and he knows how to defend a line, a name everyone is familiar with and wouldn't be breaking the bank. On a good average for Brum too
-
Last time I saw Schlein at PB, he was whinging about the amount of water they'd put down before the meeting. Mind you, he did the track walk in flip flops...
-
Given the amount of money that Tolley has been happy to burn, affording the riders won't be a concern, it's convincing a top rider that Birmingham is a place to be to be competitive in every meeting and in with a shout of a title
-
Apart from commentary, has Sam been involved in speedway to the extent that he would be a good choice for a manager? If his last job was nearly 20yrs years ago at Reading, it seems a really odd choice to me
-
Ermolenko is just a 'name' signing, same as Rooney at Birmingham City
-
Has KK been mentioned yet....?? Maybe
-
Be jobs for the boys
-
No point in having the top riders if you can't park anywhere or see the track when you get there
-
Same gear as Danny Bird at a guess..
-
Basically a Championship League but with BV. Should get the crowds flocking back.

Correct

Genius. Doff my cap to this sort of wit
