  1. Been saying this for years now, the play offs should be on the bank holiday weekend at the end of August and then run Cup competition/individuals after that weather permitting.
  2. Dry weather only means no rain forecast, probably won't be warm enough to dry anything out sufficiently for the meeting to go ahead, or if it does, won't be a great spectacle
  3. A quick look at Companies House gives you an idea of finances...
  4. Must be money somewhere when riders are on 150-200 pound a point... And that was a decade ago.
  5. The problem is, where is the inspiration going to come from to reinvent the sport because the SCB certainly have no interest...
  6. Yes, this can cause an issue but the laser can read numerous labels at once, but if there is still an issue it gets re-labelled within a few hours and should be on its way without any issues in the same day
  7. Kretinsky doesn't own it.... Yet.
  8. Whichever way you dress the situation up and word it, it's a shambles and farcical. The sport in this country suffers but nowhere near as much as the fans. Sadly, it probably won't be the last time this happens this season either
  9. I'm not sure that replacing Pawlicki with Lindgren is going to be a cost cutting exercise
  10. So did it rain heavily enough to make it a good decision?
  11. Bang on post. Will be able to repeat in 2035..
  12. Whilst I appreciate that not every rider commands these sort of earnings, is it only me that thinks riders are vastly overpaid at a time when the fans are on the wane? I mean, how sustainable is nearly 2k for a heat win?
  13. He wouldn't be my choice either but I think from Birminghams point of view he would be good signing
  14. I think Schlein would tick a lot of boxes for Brum, knows the riders and promotion well, good out of the gate and Birmingham is a smallish track and he knows how to defend a line, a name everyone is familiar with and wouldn't be breaking the bank. On a good average for Brum too
  15. Last time I saw Schlein at PB, he was whinging about the amount of water they'd put down before the meeting. Mind you, he did the track walk in flip flops...
