I use XC Weather and always found it to be reliable, its showing 0.2mm of rain in between 4&6pm and the same at 9pm. With a strong wind, you would hardly notice it on track, hardly Armageddon...
It's a bad habit now when clubs call it off on a forecast, it's one of the reasons I stopped going, it's pretty pathetic tbh
Have been saying for years that riders demands are a huge contribution in closing clubs down. Less demands mean promotors can be viable easier and any sponsorship money can go towards building a club and maintenance, but it never seems to work like that.
Been saying this for years now, the play offs should be on the bank holiday weekend at the end of August and then run Cup competition/individuals after that weather permitting.
Dry weather only means no rain forecast, probably won't be warm enough to dry anything out sufficiently for the meeting to go ahead, or if it does, won't be a great spectacle
Yes, this can cause an issue but the laser can read numerous labels at once, but if there is still an issue it gets re-labelled within a few hours and should be on its way without any issues in the same day
Whichever way you dress the situation up and word it, it's a shambles and farcical. The sport in this country suffers but nowhere near as much as the fans. Sadly, it probably won't be the last time this happens this season either
Whilst I appreciate that not every rider commands these sort of earnings, is it only me that thinks riders are vastly overpaid at a time when the fans are on the wane? I mean, how sustainable is nearly 2k for a heat win?
