24 th at Sheffield 27 th Belle Vue last I heard !!
-
Without any more rain offs we could probably do Ipswich at home on Monday 17 th October and Kings Lynn away Thursday 20 th October unless riders /stadium are unavailable
-
We could default to a Wednesday in the best interest of the sport though
-
I think you caught us on a good night. All 7 did their job efficiently. Did you notice there were no track grades throughout the meeting ? Makes you wonder if all the tractor racing we get is really necessary at every track. !!!!!

Sheffield vs Wolves 1/9/22
Charlieboy replied to LisaColette's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
After all the recent events I thought it was a good incident free meeting. Some good races and another 3 points to add. We need to put some consistent performances in now if we are to have any chance of winning the playoffs. I think we are the under dogs at the moment with Ellis been injured. -

Well you usually got all the answers mate so your input would have been valuable. It’s incredible what you know when your not even at the meeting. Thanks for the bite tho -

What can they say ? 8 tyres blown between 2 teams. No tyres available. Safety issue We could probably gone on and got maximum point so we’ve potentially lost a point. -

Away win for tigers but don’t understand the tyre problem here at Peterborough I thought Sheffield was the only track to have problems on a race night. Shame the Ipswich and Belle Vue fans arnt here to sort it out with all there expertise and know how. If this tyre problem has been causing problems for 2 years as Carl Johnson suggests then the riders need to be refusing to ride until it’s sorted. Rider safety obviously. -
Sheffield v Belle Vue 25th August
Charlieboy replied to 4thbender's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I think that’s the way the sport is heading. We are not the only team to cancel meetings prematurely. Supporters will find other things to do. I can understand the promotion not wanting a poor race track due to weather conditions but usually after a few races the track settles down and the racing improves. At the end of the day it’s the promotors decision and it’s them who lose money. In the long run it could be more damaging for the club. -

Meeting off -
Raining 1 mile from track now and was raining on way past the track 10 mins ago
-
They will be hiked up anyway no matter what day it’s announced
-
Does anybody know why it was announced last night that the date for next years GP will be announced on Monday? Why not announce the date last night with fans in the stadium I know this has happened many times before but it just seems so childish. if you go in groups you can get organised and while you’re all together.
-
Well we could feel no air con on first bend everyone was sat in their own sweat for nearly 4 hours
-
The tractors have done more laps than the bikes. Track grade every 2 races
-
Really ? We’ve got a group of 12 and always find something to do and not missed any Cardiff meetings. Yes it is expensive but it always is on event weekends whether it’s Cardiff Manchester Leeds Sheffield We are not bothered about the fireworks etc but how many kids go and love it. They’ve got to cater for everyone. The track needs some serious thought last night was a joke. We had 20 heats then tractor racing then semis then tractor racing. Then to annoy fans even more we got the gate draw. Why not do the draw when the tractors were on track. Absolute disgrace. It’s a shame the track experts from belle vue and Ipswich weren’t there to sort it out cus they seem pretty clued when we had problems at Sheffield. In one respect it’s good to see problems do occur at other stadiums cus some on here think it only happens at our track. Anyway does anybody know why the roof was kept shut while we all sweltered in the stadium for nearly 4 hours ?
-
Did he ? We couldn’t hear the interview in the stadium
-
To be fair not many of the other riders could turn on that track last night either
