Brilliant meeting,fantastic result. 14 points down after heat 5 looked like a massacre was on the cards.Most teams benefit from the tac ride in comebacks but we did it the hard way.Track suited the comets early on when it was gaters paradise but when the track dried out and turned into a racers track we were treat to some fantastic racing.Jake has impressed me,two brilliant hard earned points that made all the difference.Steady was back to his best,Facu was his usual exciting self,Joe and Ricky had their moments and Hally was awesome in heat 15.Koppe is a problem at the moment,how long can we carry him ? I thought he would be on the pace by now and feel for the lad,but his confidence cant be very high at the moment.Would Taylor Poole be a good replacement ? Personally, knowing our management team the cheaper option would be sanchez !!!! Facu could then drop to reserve !!!! How strong would that make us ? Well done to both track staff and all 14 riders .Cracking meeting.Hope its as good at workington tomorrow.

Lets hope its not a goodbye wave,dont think hes done too badly so far as 3rd heat leader.Top 2 should be scoring more than him considering theyve rode hundreds more laps than him round owlerton.Lets see who scores more away Hally or Ricky.Hope Koppe can get amongst the points.Good to see him having a spin after meeting last week,at least it shows he wants to improve.

Should be entertaining looking forward to it.If joe can get going he could be the difference.If everybody fires we should be ok if not it could go to the wire.Hopefully 10 point win.

sheffield to win by 6 hopefully !!!!!!!!!!!! Expecting it to be close like most of our meetings until new lads settle in.

Decent result for sheffield,lads need time to settle.As far as track preparation goes i think we should just be pleased we are seeing some speedway at the moment after all the snow.I think you should give the track alterations a month or so then decide if its been improved or not.It was poor last season but you cant just expect the riders to adapt to new lines till theyve had a few meetings.If people arent happy dont go,

We are not expecting to win many early season,just need to get leaue cup out of the way sort any problems and move on from there.Give the lads a chance then make changes as necessary.Dissapointed to get hammered but expected it really.

Think we will all be happy if he gets to andy moores level.

I agree but you know what our management are like !!!!!!!!!!!!! If we can get a good team spirit and win a few early on riders might no worry too much where they ride in the team.We dont want the same spirit or lack of it this year.

Hally wouldnt ride at 5 last season so will he this ? If hes with steady in heat 15 they cant both ride out on the fence !!! Be interesting what choice management make or if they let the riders sort it between themselves.Bit of imput from steady might be needed.

joe would be my choice too but not sure how albin and hall would pair up.Are they similar style riders ? Will hally look out for his team mate as hes not the best at team riding.We need to get a balance once the new boys settle.

I would think the line up could be steady albin haines hall wells koppe knight for the opener then see how it goes.I think we will have to see how it works away.Probably shuffle the pack once it settles down.Just hope new lads settle quickly.

Probably not because it didnt encourage our team riding last year.My thought was if say steady and jake were on a 3-3 then steady could protect him without losing money.If they were losing a 5-1 then you would just expect steady to be 3rd trying to pass the opponents !!!! According to hoggy steady is in the team to help the new lads so when on a 3-3 its not going to happen,he will just chase the win imo.

Trouble is you can never plan a race,efs ,falls etc. Personally i think its a bad move.It encourages back handers from the more unscrupulous promoters !!!!!!!!!!

Dont think its a good idea scrapping the 3rd place bonus,wont do anything for team spirit when team mates are riding against each other.As for the manager,we need somebody experienced not the system we used last year.Cant see it changing though to be honest.

Last season we had riders falling off in a race and his team mate riding past him while he was laid injured.very poor team spirit last season if any at all.I think steady will improve that.Hopefully the new lads wont take too long to settle in and we can gell as a team.

Great meeting for the youngsters but what do we get out of it ? Be nice to see one of them progress in our first team as we used to.

That would be my choice at home too but away i would change it to suit the tracks.Hall and Albin paired at rye ? suicidal if albin leg trails.tracks not big enough for both in same race.!!! Probably switch joe.

Agree with most of your post but hally must do more away and beat more of the opposing heat leaders at home.He had some decent scores at home last season but how many were topped up in heat 14 against lesser riders ? Hes rode more laps round sheffield than the rest of the team so should be beating the heat leaders that only race our track once or twice a season.I fear we could become a 4 rider team against the better teams and if any of the top 4 are having a bad night we could get hammered.

Glad rickys signed lets hope we have a good season,Some big gambles have been taken lets hope they pay off.If not ,lets hope we dont stand by riders who are not performing and make changes early.Big season ahead and about time we won something again.

We seem to be one of the last to name our team,race day,season ticket price and admission , lets hope we dont finish last in the league !!!!

Whats the odds on it being announced wednesday night or thursday in the star ? They dont like to announce latest news until then usually. Bit pathetic but thats what the usual format is.

Dont think hally could be classed as a number 1 ,how many heat 15 did he win ? Agree the track needs attention this season because its been like watching paint dry in recent years and with hally and steady in the side it needs to be grippy.Think we need more than one line with the team weve put together.The track was a disgrace at the plrc for the last few races on the first two bends.

I think steady will be consistant and hold his average and could form a good opening pairing with joe.With Albin and Koppe i think we have got to see how they shape up in practice then put the best one at reserve.I expect wells to sign and stay at 5 with hally hiding at 4 again.I think jake may struggle and if changes are to be made he will be dropped and replaced with whoever.Strange to read that schrammy has invested heavily in machinary ! might have been worth a shot at reserve with his experience.
