Yes there was definitely contact not sure if it was enough to impact Adams fall but we don’t get those decisions go our way as in last years final. Good meeting and the track held up well after all the rain we’ve had recently. Some good racing and the meeting remained interesting throughout with the bonus point been up for grabs. Emil is quality and hope he’s back in GP next year. Apparently Lewis has snapped his collar bone so expect RR Needs to be back if he drops to reserve in august or we may struggle to replace him

Disappointed we didn’t get 15 heats but that’s speedway currently. Can’t always beat the weather. Track staff said bends 1 and 2 were like ice after the downpour. Pickering said track was rideable not raceable so you have to go on their opinion. I think the promotion have got to think seriously about next Mondays meeting. Televised and fans short changed tonight. So some sort of offer maybe on the entrance fee or loads could be voting with their feet. -
I don’t understand why the tractors are out for so long It’s everywhere you go. Clubs want fans to turn up and support the clubs yet they treat them with total disregard. It’s suppose to be a family sport yet the meeting is dragged out over nearly 3 hours for 23 mins of racing. The tractors were on track longer than the bikes. People have got work next day and kids got school so why drag the meeting out for so long. No wonder the sport is all but dead.

Sheffield v Leicester (Prem R1)
Charlieboy replied to RideHard's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Best team won on the night but Sheffield must be having serious doubts about Adams form. Good rider but way off where he should be this season. Don’t know if it’s hand injury or his bikes but something is not right. The way it’s going at the moment he will get a spell at reserve which could be a good thing for him and the team -

Wolves v Sheffield kc..19th June..

Yes you’re right. Back in the day when James Greaves always had an ailment of some sort every time he was due to ride at Sheffield and the opposition always benefitted from their guest or RR -
I’d settle for that as Bellego has been a big disappointment
-
Don’t know mate. Hopefully he’s fit
-
If we can get a fit Pickering into our line up it’s a no brainer based on how he rode last time for us At the moment having Kyle at reserve is ok at home but not away. As said previously Kerr can gate consistently and is by far the better reserve as proved at Ipswich. Kerr scored 20+ at Ipswich and wolves where as Kyle was poor at Ipswich and let’s see tomorrow at wolves. Connor mountain is a good lad but I’d expect Josh to out score him over the season

Sheffield v Ipswich 15th June (A fixture)
Charlieboy replied to 4BenMoran's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Exactly this but don’t waste your time trying to convince people who don’t even go to meetings but know everything about the meeting. Most meetings are from the gate now because the tracks are still stuck in the 70s and the engines are too fast. Watching a meeting on tv is different to been trackside. Half the time the camera angle is poor. Don’t know what it showed on tv last night but obviously Jason Doyle fan missed both overtakes on Tobi and Adam taking them both out wide on seperate bends Emil was total class last night shame he’s not in the Borefest GP -
Learn your lesson don’t listen to Tatum and his fellow commentators. He’s convinced them all He should stick to his dirtometer
-
Well done Ipswich easily better team on the night. Tobi has been awesome Bellego has to be replaced. Shocking performance again Why are the commentators saying Ipswich have got a 12 point lead going into Thursday ? It’s 4 points Do your homework !!!!!

Don’t know what it’s running at at the moment. I think Mountain or Pickering if fit could replace him -

If we going to replace him we need to do it before his average drops then -

Yes that’s a good return but Kerr got the same total from 2 away meetings Ipswich and Wolves which are where we are heading next Can Kyle match that ? I hope he can but we will see. Bellego won’t be getting anywhere near that will he ? -

Bellego really needs to up his game if he wants to stay at Sheffield. I think we are weaker with Howarth at reserve Lewis can gate consistently but Kyle can’t and wolves are generally quick out of the starts. Don’t think Howarth will have the same impact at reserve but hopefully he will prove me wrong -
King’s Lynn v Sheffield 01/06/23
Charlieboy replied to Bald Bloke's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Good win for the Tigers tonight. You can only beat what’s in front of you. 3 unbeaten riders away from home is some performance. Can’t recall the last time I saw that happen. Well done Tigers. -

Charlieboy replied to 4BenMoran's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Solid win for Tigers just what was needed after the losing run away from home. Good team performance and Dan Gilkes is looking very impressive Saw him at Plymouth recently and it’s good to see he can ride any size track. Be interesting what average he finishes the season with. Looks very comfortable on the bike with a nice style. Good attitude aswell and was on track practicing even tho he’d just posted his best score. Well done Dan -

Sheffield -V- Belle Vue 23rd March
Charlieboy replied to Phil The Ace's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I think it was a fair result with both teams going for it. Some good racing considering the snow and rain we’ve had recently. Tobi was class. Meeting took just over an hour to complete so it proves it can be done when there’s no incidents. Don’t think we’ve done enough to get the bonus point but it’s early season so no need to panic. Well done to all the riders for getting on with it and putting on a good show. -
Well done to Jack Holder new Australian champion. Good start to the new year.
-
Not sure he will need carrying. If he can get his form back to what he was doing before injury I think he’s well capable of holding his own against the other RS He usually has some decent gear and with the rest of our team advising him I think he will be fine. Hope he can get plenty of laps in before the season starts. Good luck to the lad.
-
Solid one to seven on paper let’s hope they can prove it on track. Looking forward to watching Bellego and Gilkes. 2 promising riders with potential to score well
-
I saw Dan get 11 at Scunthorpe last year and he looked good then. Hope he can get over his injuries quickly and get back on the pace. Good luck to him
