I think if our promotors think its viable they will move up but we want regular speedway no the joke fixture list of one in 5 weeks as Rye House had this year.We must be very competitive when building the team.I would like to see us have a GP no.1 and most of this years team.If they made a rule for a 2 pointer at 7 then Georgie Wood would obviously be in the team too.Lets see what happens.!!!!!!

Hope im wrong but expect a big home win tonight in this one sided waste of time competition. The odds are stacked against us and since we won the league its gone flat.Shame we cant use another guest instead of r/r just to help even it up a bit.I hope we can wrap up the season on Thursday with a Sheffield Select v Redcar Select and celebrate our league title.

If Kyle Howarth is fit we might give Newcastle a run for their money but if he is still out I expect a home win.Our aim was to win the league and we achieved that along with the pairs.Since then I think the defeat on Monday has deflated us a bit.Howarth has been such an inspiration this season and we miss his influence in the pits. Its a nothing meeting now so cant see us been up for it to be honest.

Good luck to the Tigers tonight hope we can hang on to our lead but I think Ipswich are the favourites.12 points is not a lot to defend when you not at full strength.I would have felt more confident had Kyle been fit.Hope Newman and Barker not too badly injured from last night.Barkers crash could have been worse if Lasse had not avoided him.

Hopefully different day different result. If the Ipswich trio ride like the other night then were in big trouble. If Steady has a word or two before and during the meeting we will be ok.Just hope the lads arnt taking their minds off the job now we are the Champions.Good luck to the lads tonight lets keep the winning mentality.

I think the Ipswich lads have got dialled in now due to recent visits and non of them who rode last night are reserves. As spiny said one team was built to 40 points and the other 50 ? doesn't take much working out why we got hammered.Totally inbalanced but it is what it is another nail in the speedway coffin.Live on tv too.It cant help any negotiations with BT for further coverage. If the Sheffield lads had been gating then we might have got nearer to having a good meeting but apart fromLasses blasts it must have been poor viewing as was sundays meeting. What worries me is if we put the same standard performance in Thursday the witches could give us a pasting.Which after the cracking season weve had would take of the shine of the great performances the lads have put in over the last few months.

That's the trouble if your successful in speedway you get meetings thick and fast in October.Kyle will have been busy Monday Wednesday with wolves Sunday pairs Monday play off Wednesday play off Thursday Friday cup semi Saturday league riders.Lets hope he can keep his consistency up.Good luck to all our riders and the week ahead hopefully stay injury free in the most exciting week of the season.Lets hope for more trophies to come our way.

Congratulations to all our team, management and promotors.A fantastic achievement and long overdue.Shame we couldn't have our full team there but it couldn't be helped. Thanks to Scott for stepping in and doing the job for us.Hope we can win the cup and play off final aswell.Good luck lads and well done. -

Its a chance you take when you pick the guests I think every club has benefitted over the years and ha s to be accepted as a necessary evil.I remember Sedgeman guesting for us and being awful and we were stung regular by Glasgow when James Greives was always mysteriously injured when they visited. It is what it is im afraid and either Scott will be up for it and do you some damage or he may let us down due to a soft spot for the witches? We will find out tomorrow. -

Good luck to the Tigers hope we can finish the job.Think it may be close but hope the 16 point advantage we have is going to be enough. Thanks to Scott Nichols for stepping in at short notice. Not a lover of guests but its a needs must in this sport. Will he be a potential signing for next season I wonder ? Hope Josh will be back shortly for our remaining matches. -

Ipswich previous visit Mark Riss 7 +2 guesting I think for Sedgeman made them stronger I feel as Sedgeman is poor round Sheffield.Any way great performance from the Tigers last night with some great racing.Heat 12 was poor for us,if Lasse had won and we got a 3-3 we would have20 point gap which I feel would be enough but I think it may be close tomorrow.I hope we can pull it off as we finished 6 points above Ipswich with 2 matches still to ride.Play offs should be separate competition for me but it is what it is.Well done to the Tigers . -

I know this is the cup thread but I think tomorrows play off final could be close. With last nights injuries plus Todd is struggling with his hand I think Ipswich are now the favourites. The cup matches could be a revenge mission for either side.Good luck to the Tigers lets give it a big performance. -
Think weve done it more than once if im correct over the years so its possible. Our form suggests we should have enough to make the final but you can never take anything for granted in sport.Good luck to all our team, lets hope we can get off to a good solid start and complete the job.Hope all our riders stay safe.

Sheffield V Glasgow Po Semi-final 21 Sep

Great performance from 1-7,Josh Bates was class. We now need a strong start to the return leg and hopefully no injuries.Glad to see Todd back and straight back into it.When riders return after injury you never know if they will get back into the groove or struggle luckily he was on it even though he didn't take his last ride.Well done to all the lads last night keep the run going.Did I hear right that we have Redcar at home next Thursday as website says Ipswich next up the week after ? -
Great performance from the tigers last night and well run meeting. Some decent racing but not every race.I don't know why there are so many so called supporters moaning about the standard of racing.Expecting all 4 riders passing constantly for 4 laps is not going to happen so get real.If the racing at Scunthorpe is like that every week (as some people keep mentioning how good it is) then why do they get poor crowds. If people are not happy with the racing at Sheffield then don't go,simple. Our promotion have done a cracking job putting this team togethter so support what weve got or don't go.Lasse s race was top drawer but what about young Georgie beating Riss in a composed manor,The rest of the lads also had their moments. Its ages since we last had a good team capable of winning a trophy so SUPPORT the team. One criticism from last night was we didn't water the track for the 2nd meeting and it was getting too slick and making it more important from the gate.Well done lads keep it up.
-
Good all round team performance from the Tigers after a slow start we turned it round again. Some good racing aswell especially heat 13 and 14.Bates and Gravesens pass on summers was excellent.Josh G gets better every week and if the C.L.R.C.was at Owlerton he would walk it.I think he might still be in with a chance at Glasgow.Kyle was awesome too.Its nice to go into heats 13 and 15 with Kyle and Josh knowing weve got a chance.Good look to the lads tomorrow but I think our unbeaten record will be severely tested.
-
Great team performance from the Tigers glad Georgie got his first win but what a joke decision by the referee. How can a rider off gate 4 minding his own business get clattered from a rider going off gate 1 moving across to the outside of the track be excluded for the cause of the crash ? a totally embarrassing decision !!!!! As I expected it was a close contest and what a move by Lasse in heat 15 Class ride.

Sheffield Tigers V Edinburgh Monarchs.
Charlieboy replied to graz gp's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Good result for the Tigers not a classic on a dusty track which needed loads more water on it than it got.Josh was his usual dominant self with Kyle and Lasse in good form too. Another good team performance.thats 10 on the bounce.Well done lads keep it up.
