Must admit I'm not a big cook fan and don't agree with his qualification for the meeting when everybody else has had to be consistent all season.But never the less he won the final with a great ride and deserved to win.Great gesture to donate to Ricky too.Thought the meeting was decent and I've never known 2 points between top and 6 th place,it kept the meeting tense till after heat 20.Well done Cooky.

Congratulations to James shanes and the lads on winning the silver medal,he won't be too worried about the flack he's took for missing Friday's meeting.

Danny Phillips gets dropped after transfer deadline day ? Not injured so what rule says Scunthorpe can replace him ? No doubt someone on here will have knowledge of the rule that deems it ok to replace him ? We might be able to fill another 6 pages !!!!

Exactly so why worry about it ? The sport is is on its knees and the sooner the bspa realise then they may change it. Speedway is a simple sport 4 riders racing for 4 laps but they just love to complicate. it with complex rules. I'm past caring now what they do ,it's a complete shambles.It is what it is !!!!!!, So as I see it there's no argument.They are not bothered what the fans think,they are just running speedway into the ground.If you would rather see a nl rider way behind the other 3 then that's up to you but it's not for me .

Is anybody bothered ? Scunthorpe have still won, so it doesn't matter how anybody got to Bordeaux etc. Speedway rules in general are a complete farce. Every promotor is in it for there own club. Until an independent regime take it over then you will always get twists and turns with each rule. This season has been a joke from day one with only one set of fixtures instead of two which has always worked at our level.We are now going into September with some teams nowhere near completing their fixtures ,the early season shield semi finals have not been rode and now we've got supporters worrying about r/r in a meaningless fixture ???? well done to Scunthorpe on the 3 points ,at least we will have another trophy to polish this winter even though it may only be at wooden spoon.. Let's hope the bspa can put things right and give us a full fixture list next season.As a footnote it will be interesting to see how much promotors have SAVED this season after their wise decision.

Does it really matter if it's r/r or national league guest ? It makes no difference to league table ,we will still finish bottom !!!!! Speedway rules are a total joke and if Scunthorpe are that desperate to win then Godfrey will get his way tonight.only losers will be the crowd paying to see a rider miles behind the rest.If Broc rides like he has lately we will not have adequate cover for r/r anyway.I think Scunthorpe are scared he might ride like he did last time.

I agree with your last statement but this is speedway so expect changes to rules anytime soon especially the sensible changes !!!!!!

If we can get Josh g and Kyle as top 2. Zaine and kasper 2 ND strings Broc at reserve what will that leave for 3rd heat leader and reserve? Would Thomas Jorgensen and dimi berge fit ? Dimi at reserve

Best kept secret is out,looks a promising signing,hope Josh packs in Poland and comes back as number 1 along side Kyle.Might be tempted to get Kasper back too.

Fair result in the end.Disapointed with Broc,he just doesn't look anywhere near as fast as he was.If he can regain his early form he would be a steal at reserve next season.Well done to the track staff.Is there only one person who can drive a tractor amongst them ? Surely we could have had the track prepared quicker if there was ? Kasper is looking a possibility for next season,quite impressed with him.It will be interesting to see how we perform in our last 2 meetings as it looks nailed on for the wooden spoon.Hope Conner is OK after his nasty spill.

Think he's got Hungarian parentage or something so doesn't need to qualify thro state championships.At least they come to race / work not like some foreigners who just come for benefits.

Broc at reserve could be a trump card if he can find his early form, if he can win heat 2 it could set him up for a good night.

At present we only have 2heat leaders and a long tail so I'm expecting worrall to get more than he usually does and can only see Riss scoring a lot more than 4. Hope I'm wrong but we can't afford any passengers tomorrow ,every body has got to be on the gas .

Hopefully we can scrape a win but more likely to be 37-53 to monarchs

Well done Kaspar lets hope he can kick on from that.Better performance than we all expected,shame Kyle couldn't have scored his usual points.Would have been interesting if we had a full team on track .

Well done Newcastle fully deserved and made it look too easy.We are really poor at the moment but credit to them.It could have been more.Garritty was poor choice if he was injured,apart from one race he didn't look that interested.Slowed down heat one and allowed Robson a point,he almost broke tapes in his next then only tried on last lap in his 3rd ride.Why not get proctor? Dropping Lasse made no difference as he would have needed a 15 point max for us to just scrape a win .nicol seems slow and lost his confidence,shanes has made hardly any progress this season nowhere near what was expected,Conner looked good last time out and howarth and Kurtz did as expected.Andersson was on the pace but you are never going to get 10 points from a 2 point premier leagu rider.Fair play to howarth and steady for fronting the fans but I think mr bates should have come on the mic and explained the current situation ,he would get more respect if everybody knew the situation.If riders weren't getting paid I would expect Lasse would have tweeted this after his fall out with the club.

After all the dry Thursday's with no fixtures it rains for a top fixture.
