  1. I believe this is the clip you're on about. I don't use YouTube so if you can't get it to play, download it and watch on your preferred media player: https://www.dropbox.com/s/qfxvwcoappajlfm/1982PenhallvCarterNewAngle.mpg
  2. Here's one for the ERC, or indeed any other individual meeting using the 1 semi-final and final formula. You can change the header and riders names if required. Helmet colours can be added as necessary for reserve rides and for the semi-final and final. Best viewed in full screen mode. For Excel 2007 and newer: https://www.dropbox.com/s/sdv0ubjg22tfm6z/UK2014ERC.xlsx For Excel 97-2003: https://www.dropbox.com/s/k0269z0jeibgrss/UK2014ERC97.xls Use N (not the new RS) to denote a reserve replacement.
  3. That's some formula for the riders total scores
  4. I'm still on XP I'm told http://www.dosbox.com is worth a look for playing old MS-DOS games.
  5. Here you go https://www.dropbox.com/s/ry60a3slrhtvokw/1989BLRC.pdf I don't have heat details, sorry.
  6. Is this what you're looking for? http://www.speedway-meeting.com/
  7. At the risk of being pedantic, the riders totals and heat totals won't show half points Not that we seem to get any these days... I'm not having any of the problems you're describing Mimmo & TWK. Are you entering the name in the first cell and overwriting h1, h2 etc? Here's my effort for this season. Totally different concept, you will need to scroll the page but you can enter more information. While the racecard itself can be exported (saved) as an Adobe PDF, the purpose of said card is to produce the report, again for transferring to PDF. I've filled it out with an imaginary match showing what can be added and where. A lot of the information is prepared in dropdown boxes but these can be overwritten if need be. Have a poke around and you'll soon get the idea. Only cells that require user input are open, everything else is locked out, so you can't delete anything vital. Excel 2007 or newer is recommended, however it should run on 97-2003. For 2007 - users: https://www.dropbox.com/s/jvg8v5g6nb499nf/UK2014EL.xlsx 97-2003: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ycqs9b76xjxwywq/UK2014EL97.xls PDF report example: https://www.dropbox.com/s/08j25a1n67acool/UK2014ELexample.pdf I haven't tested it to destruction but am using the 'engine room' of the file elsewhere and it's going ok. Only other thing to note, enter rider names (if not using the dropdown choices) in what excel calls 'proper' type ie Tai Woffinden - this allows the TR rider to be shown correctly in the report. It is set up for my needs, namely to produce the Star-style report, but I've come to regard that as a better way to present the information, having initially preferred reproducing a racecard. Not to everyone's tastes but there you have it. And all that started with SCB's wee file
  8. Good grief. I've had the old version of your racecard for ages, had no idea where I'd downloaded it from or who the creator was. What a useful man you are. That wee card got me interested in producing excel sheets for research purposes, and watching matches on the telly. I'll post my 2014 effort up later but it wasn't designed with anyone but me in mind, though I'm sure you clever types could work it out. Swap out the green helmet colour by the way
  9. No bonus point awarded. Similar example from 1981 at Glasgow, Cribb and McKinna tied for 2nd behind Lawson, McKinna didn't receive a bonus. I don't think bonus points are/were paid in any race with a dead heat.
  10. William Freeland and Paul Terry are the only two I recall from that list. I think J.MacFarrahar may be J. MacFarquhar.
  11. 30th May 1970, Wembley v Hackney, British League Div. 1. Lions won 41-37. It was match 6 before the Dons rolled up, 4th July, the Lions again winning by the same scoreline. Wasn't there 70/71 footage on the History of Speedway/Wembley video from several years ago?
  12. A fine impression of which you can see here http://www.defunctspeedway.co.uk/Carmarthen%20Speedway.htm if you care to scroll down the page a bit. Good photographer that fella... Clay County Moto-Parc, Berrington Lough and an honourable mention for wee Carmarthen.
  13. Results https://www.dropbox.com/s/isda5dwkpoisksj/Berwick1993to96.pdf And two racecards, sorry I don't have anything else: https://www.dropbox.com/s/qtk14rly4o3vamo/19931002RosevThistle.pdf https://www.dropbox.com/s/1pq1nvap9eia1ke/19940709StokevBerw.pdf
  14. Another damn fine plan bites the dust! Yeh, enjoy the files, the racecards make fun reading at least, some great old names there.
  15. The project continues to build, and I've now uploaded my worksheets for which you'll need Microsoft Excel (any version) and Adobe Reader for the PDF files. Updates to the workbooks are almost continual at the moment as I receive more information. Each season has it's own folder, as you'll see: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/rcjv5uzg5ka7qs2/9-_H4E23q- My thanks to everyone who has responded so far. There is still much to do, so if you can help in any way please get in touch. Also, if anyone has a working email address for Dick Barrie, could they please PM me. I've tried three different addresses so far without success, and I don't haunt social media with my presence, so if anyone can assist, drop me a line. Thanks.
  16. I'm looking for information relating to the representative match between the respective junior leagues, if indeed it was staged at all. Full heat details if possible, but all I have is the date so all info is good. Ta muchly.
  17. Thanks for typing that lot out. It's an honourable idea but I can't really see the point outwith the fantastical notion of the pools getting interested. The 10-point rule would surely have led to race manipulation on two fronts - teams wanting to avoid giving their opponents the opportunity and, dare I say it, riders knowing that being ten down could afford them an extra race in the second half. Was it ever tried again?
  18. I'm showing the Wolves v Bradford tie being staged on Monday 5th June, 58-46 the score. This became the first leg following the abandonment of the match at Odsal on Saturday 3rd June, with home side leading 29-24 when it was stopped after Heat 8 due to track conditions. The second leg I have as being staged on Saturday 15th July, score 70-38. The competition was over 18 heats, I don't have anything from 1995 to ascertain the race formula, though if it was 8 man teams I'd imagine it would be the standard one as used in preceeding seasons.
  19. No sweat, here's the 4TT files: http://www.dropbox.com/s/hsh2qfdzuhxfebv/1979IL4TT.pdf http://www.dropbox.com/s/3bu9h1cxcj4ap9i/1980IL4TT.pdf From my huge collection of 2 Stars from 1980 I can offer details for 29/3 at Cradley, 4/9 at Sheffield and 5/9 v Halifax (abandoned) if they are of use to you.
  20. Here's the Wolves 1984 stuff - not sure what format you prefer so both meetings have a racecard and a Speedway Star-style report: http://www.dropbox.com/s/1ejr65b7gdjb5jb/1984Wolves.pdf The Star misreports Heat 13 of the Cradley meeting, missing out King. The result I'm showing tallies with the individual scores so should be correct. Back with 4TT later.
  21. All I have to hand are the yearbook details unfortunately. So just the matches concerning Wolves will suffice? Also, the 1980 Semis & Final were staged at Wolverhampton but they failed to qualify. Do you want details from those matches? Good job collating all that information. Off-topic, but if you're needing anything for 1984 I've got a full set of SStars to refer to. I don't think I can offer much else unfortunately.
  22. Here's the 1981 4TT with details taken from 1982 yearbook: http://www.dropbox.com/s/drvt40l1mn7lg6r/1981NL4TT.pdf I'll have the other stuff for you shortly.
