  1. Only the #7 is protected - the #6 can replace the #2. Indeed, it's not clear if a T/S can or can't be used for the #2. I've asked the SCB and BSPL why the regulation is hidden under: "012.6 RACE FORMATS 012.6.1 15 Heats In all Premiership Team competitions the #7 is protected in heats 2 and 8 and no replacements are permitted unless injured and confirmed in writing by the MO"
  2. But is it 25% of all fixtures, or 25% of each team's fixtures? The fixture list is so patchy (without including postponements), 25% overall means some teams will have had less matches than others. By the same token, 25% for each team (without including postponements) means different times depending on when they complete their 25% ...
  3. I did get the irony. My quote was directly from a dictionary (italics included). Football has Laws, which, in theory, cannot be broken. Speedway has Regs, many of which are vague, and often seem to be stretched in the interests of the BSPL/Sport (delete as inappropriate).
  4. "Racing Doyle"?! They are team mates. The whole point of that pairing, no matter how strange it seemed, was that they would score heat advantages - which they did. Riss also covered Heat 8. The big question is will they risk Heeps at 2 for the match against Belle Vue ... if they do, and he fails to race Doyle (LOL!), at least Starke will be available to cover Heat 8.
  5. The point I made is that if you stage the match again with the *same* line-ups you would get a different result.
  6. That's the whole point. Some fans saying, if, if, if - it applies to both teams. Lawson normally rides very well at Foxhall, scored 3!
  7. "Regulation is the controlling of an activity or process, usually by means of rules."
  8. Another night, on a different track. In fact, stage the Witches v Stars at Foxhall again with the same line-ups, and you'll get a different result.
  9. The only gate choice in league racing is Heat 15, and riders such as King and Batchelor are experienced enough to deal with whatever gate they agree with Doyle. The main thing is for them to have a plan for likely first bend scenarios.
  10. Indeed - thought I'd let people work that out - can't spoon feed everyone Heeps is bound to be given more chances ... after all, he's only just returned from the illness break.
  11. But none of his interviews ever say anything specific. There's nothing wrong with acknowledging that Rider X is struggling, and e.g. he's getting help with machinery or advice about the track. There is a lack of meaningful content in Press releases.
  12. Klindt is 7.43 - the Green Sheet as used by Ipswich when he was originally named in the team last season: https://britishspeedway.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2021/05/p21_issue_1.pdf
  13. I don't think they'll be in attendance, unless of course they are still undecided and it's another poor performance? I'll be fast asleep.
  14. I said "if". Even you reckon they scored pretty well for an away meeting. Maybe they scored pretty well for an Ipswich away meeting ... but that just reflects a complete lack of ambition. There's no spark, or even vitality - the whole aura of the club is one that's just going through the motions.
  15. 25% of their fixtures, or 25% of Prem fixtures?
  16. If Hawkins is happy with three heat wins from 12 races, and 21 out of 36 points for Doyle and Batchelor, then he's happy to lose matches.
  17. Absolutely nothing on the Ipswich Star or EADT websites, or Twitter - not even a mention by Mike Bacon on his own Twitter - looks like they've given up already.
  18. No response to your assumption that Ipswich should have gone for Basso - maybe they never asked, but maybe he wasn't available or interested. Aarnio certainly fits with the lack of availability, as well as the cheap and cheerful! After Batchelor's brilliant performance at Newcastle, this could be a complete flop for the Witches ...
  19. Given that coverage from NZ shows Wilson-Dean at least half a lap ahead of the opposition, Congreve was unlikely to be competitive.
  20. "If"?! It's been proved time and again, Hawkins and Lemon went to the same lack of tactical awareness classes. Although to be fair, is Basso available and/or wanting to ride? Witches guests tend to be cheap & cheerful.
  21. What is? Just one word without explanation is no use whatsoever. Edit ... If you mean Iversen, then check out Issue 2 of the BSPL's own list: https://britishspeedway.co.uk/2022-premiership-declarations/
  22. KL declared their line-up with Iversen, so if Kildemand is ever to ride for them, they will have to make a change ... Edit: Just read that Kildemand is injured again?!
  23. Can anyone remember what his old form was? Ipswich seem to be the only team that want him back again, and even die-hard Witches fans are beginning to ask why.
  24. Looking at the CL Green Sheets, there are very few guest options for McDonald's 4.00 average - maybe they couldn't find anyone available or willing to ride?
  25. That's still not clear - do you mean each team or overall? With the patchy fixture list, 25% of the total number of fixtures could mean that some teams might have had 3 or 4 matches, and others 6 or 7 ...
