  1. Yes, thanks ... I looked again and edited my post ... a very odd situation! The need for Iversen to get a new average on 26th May (I guess because he was previously on a re-assessed average?) and the move from 20 to 18 matches from the 1st June has had quite an impact on the KL averages.
  2. It really is bizarre how the averages work, I can't follow the scenarios where Pickering is highest ... I'll look again. Edit: OK, got it now ... Pickering is indeed #1 just for tonight. It really is a stupid rule that forces the top average rider to ride at #1 ... it can cause needless disruption to established line-ups and/or rider positions, and not every rider is suited to the #1 race jacket - although I'm sure Pickering will do a decent job.
  3. https://britishspeedway.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2022/05/p22_issue_6.pdf These are based on the last 18 meetings (or minimum 4 home and 4 away - I don't think the minimum requirement has changed). Assuming the new Transfer Window Regulation is for 25% of all League matches, team changes can be made after 15 meetings, which is 2 June. Not sure what happens if any are rained off between now and then, i.e. does the window move ...
  4. I don't let it bother me, because win or lose, it has no major impact on my life - just a moment of cheerfulness or a feeling of same-old-same-old. Even if the Witches won something, it's only transient - there's much more to life than getting upset about sport. Nobody has cheated. Whichever regulation was used - either a poorly written, vague new Reg, or some sort of dispensation - it was approved. Stop being such an authoritarian stuffed-shirt and just chill
  5. Either way, the Regulations have been cobbled together, and the new "window" Regulation is unnecessarily vague, unhelpful, and - to be frank - totally useless. I'm happy to keep stretching it, if only to keep winding you up, seeing as it seems to mean so much to you.
  6. League fixtures. Doesn't say anything about the regional starter competition, and the BSPA/L must have decided the window only applied to League racing. The League hadn't started when the changes were made. I think most people have agreed it's 25% of League fixtures, i.e. when 15 have been completed - which (assuming no postponements) is currently on Thursday, 2 June ... so 2 changes can be made after that, initially using the June Green Sheets. I guess that if a team makes a change to replace three riders, you'll say that's more than two
  7. Congrats also to Riss, who top scored for Germany and won the Grand Final at the Longtrack of Nations: https://fim-longtrack.com/results-herxheim-nations/?
  8. Blimey! The Witches won a last heat decider! Celebrations all round
  9. The Regs don't say anything about making changes before 0% of League matches ...
  10. (Previous replies deleted/lost!) Teams can replace riders up to the points limit - hence Ipswich had over 7 points to use when they replaced Heeps. Because teams are normally close to the points limit, the replacements tend to have a lower average. The BSPA has introduced a splendidly vague new Regulation this season whereby once the Prem started, there's a window between 25% and 75% of fixtures when replacements can be made. The 15th fixture (25%) is on 2nd June, by which time the new Green Sheets will be in operation, and teams will know how much scope they have to make changes, if required.
  11. If you add those individual scores to the team totals, then it's not a Pairs event ... not that it is anyway, with a third rider *having* to take a ride.
  12. Annoyingly, some Thursdays are used by either away matches (KL! and Sheffield), and more annoyingly by Premiership Pairs meetings Mondays don't seem to be an option - probably because of Spedeworth events at the weekend, and maybe even rider availability, e.g. Poland/Sweden, although I've no idea these days about travel, etc.
  13. Predictable Witches - King has a poor record in Heats 13 & 15 anyway, so four similar races in this meeting have proved he's not in any sort of form.
  14. There's nothing there about being allowed to be used during a match, other than when R/R is in operation.
  15. From Peatboghorror press release: "... Normal Premiership admission prices apply, with season tickets not valid for this event ..." They've tried to make it trendy with the use of the Rising Star or #8 - a token gesture - and the semi-final and Final, and of course the GP-style points scoring for the aggregate totals over the six legs. Any sponsorship, any prize money?
  16. Yes, as per the heat format published in the regulations. Red & Blue are 1&3, White & Yellow are 2&4, but each pair can decide in each race who will take their respective positions (as per published amendment).
  17. Spot on about Hume. Watching on Eurosport, it was obvious he was riding the fourth bend too hard, and when he was off gate 4 I said he would override and fall off.
  18. It is Danyon Hume for Ipswich in the first event. Rowe must still be out of action.
  19. Yes, they need proof for an injury. If they are "unwell" it's an automatic 7 day break from racing.
  20. In the 2022 Regulations under Section 016 Race Formats, and an amendment for the Pairs has also been published: http://www.scbgb.co.uk/regulations
  21. Very sad to hear that Chris Ellis has passed away
