As for changing the race day to Sunday I know a lot more people who don't work Sundays than who do these days, having been a shift worker for many years I am aware of the issues this can cause. Having read most of the posts on here from those affected by the change I do feel sorry for you, but it would appear that unless they moved up the management are stuck with it. What I do like though is that most who can't do Sundays at Sheffield seem determined to go elsewhere to get their live speedway entertainment next year and that can only be good for the sport in general that existing fans will still be contributing. Sad that they won't be at Owlerton and they will be missed but it may allow others who couldn't do Thursdays to now be there. It's swings and round-a-bouts really but we all must keep going if we don't want to let this sport we love fade away, which is something that keeps threatening to happen year on year.

Aarnio did well yesterday and had a cracking meeting for the Diamonds at Owlerton a few weeks ago. As for you mentioning Barker how the ref made the decision to exclude Proctor from the re-run of heat 15 was unbelievable, Barker came straight across him coming into the third bend and just took him out! In his first two heats Barker looked like he was riding the Redcar track spare bike, but then in his next three he looked rocket powered, but he was struggling to control the bike and was all over the place! Exiting, but dangerous!

Won't Kennedy have to qualify in one of the state Championships before he can ride here, or is he already qualified?

Keep hoping, saw Jason outside the office at Sheffield last night after the meeting showing Jack Lee a swelling near the bottom of his leg, an injury he's apparently been carrying a while. Jack was telling him he ought to rest it and not come back till it's right, advice I think that fell on deaf ears! Only had one decent ride last night Jason, so it's obviously affecting his racing.

Let's see what the departure of Bjerre does to team morale. From what's on f/book I understand he was abusive towards the travelling Sheffield fans at Worky last week, or is that incorrect? Can anyone tell me exactly what was said/happened as I wasn't there and no one I know was either?

Think that's what the Redcar fans thought last week, how wrong they were. Should be a good bottom of the table clash this one, all fighting to keep off the wooden spoon winners position! Lingren never done much at Sheffield so this could make them stronger, but then again who knows the way things have gone at Owlerton for the last 3 meetings!

Seems like the promotion wanted to go out with the fans behind them if you believe what I've just read in the SS! They apparently tried to sign Woofinden for the end of the season to replace Bjerre, but there were too many fixture clashes so it wasn't on. Think that would've brought a few more through the turnstiles on Thursday evenings. However can't see how Kasper Andersen was the next best rider they could get, possibly had to go that way to bring in Connor Mountain! Think CharlieBoy is right though, they have been trying hard to build decent teams and we had a decent team until the end of July when they suddenly couldn't get out of the gates at home. Is there something else going on here or am I, and quite a few others reading too much into this?

The incident in the Panarama room isn't rumour, it was Lasse who put it out on his twitter account and was confirmed by Nike Lunna who witnessed it happen. It has since been confirmed that he's been replaced in the team. As for getting an explanation from the management about what's been happening off track, well good luck with that. Don't think they're going to be washing their dirty laundry in public. As for 2019 team building keep your fingers crossed for that, can see one of the promotion possibly abandoning the sinking ship at the end of the season, I hope not but I think it's on the cards!

Can't blame Steady for any of this, he was gutted after the Lakeside meeting, tried his damnedest to fire them up with no response. Last night he had a go at Charles Wright in the pits, telling him if he missed the gate to at least make an effort to catch the man in front instead of keeping an eye on the man behind! When Charles made the gate in heat 13 he was away as usual, but it didn't seem to work for any of the others did it.

The way Speedway is being run as an entirety at present is not on. Buster Chapman did his best to bring the sport to its knees last year and what has anyone heard from him this year......... not a lot! Same with Godfrey and his telephone advice for which he got away with, you'd think he'd have kept his head down as well, but no, he's had to stick his fingers into the fixture list and balls it up for Friday night fixtures ..... for all but Scunthorpe!

The promotors at Sheffield Speedway does not include Paul Bates! You may ask how can he sack any of the riders at Sheffield as he is not one of the official promotors. Well he's the man who holds the purse strings at Sheffield and what he says happens, or so it seems. But what a way to carry on, not just sacking him in a public bar but telling him to "F*** Off" as well, how professional is that.

Can't see anything other than a win for the Bears, know they've got guests in for their Danes, but still see them getting 60 points! Probably even higher tally for the Comets tomorrow if that one is on. Sheffield need devine intervention at present, let's all pray.

Surely they can't lose three home meetings on the spin. Redcar do have riders capable of doing well at Sheffield (and have), they've got to knuckle down and get out of the gates this week or again hang their heads in shame!
