  1. Too many last places for Sheffield tonight, without the drive and spirit of Kyle Howarth don't think they can do it tonight, but push on lads do yer' best.
  2. This is the answer to it all, if Auty was up by half a bike going into the first bend he must have jumped the start, cos he just can't gate can he! The ref will have let it go to see if he gained an advantage (as all good refs' should) and when it was obvious he had the ref decided to bring all four back. Simple.
  3. Relegation/promotion, what a load of rubbish, all Sheffield have to do is ask and they'll be welcomed to the top league with open arms. Lakeside coming from the National to the premiership makes a total mockery of these two meetings.
  4. Don't know who they were, there were 4 of them (2 men & 2 women) wearing Workington jackets, standing in the middle of the 3rd and 4th bends, but if that's what they call being speedway supporters then they should stop going. Being a little over the top for three of them, really it was just one of the men quite tall, thin on top wearing glasses. Shouted at Kyle Howarth just after he'd got up off the track following the incident with Charles Wright, (Quote) "You're a disgrace Howarth." Needless to say he was given short shrift from quite a few standing around him on the terraces and had nothing more to say before they made their way out. If you are that person please don't come back to Sheffield and if you were with him, don't bring him back with you if you do return.
  5. I agree with you, he's twice the rider he was at Sheffield last year.
  6. He tried hard, but probably blames himself for not getting anything out of heat 14. He looked really upset when getting his runners up medal at Foxhall on Saturday, so probably couldn't face it again!
  7. It's Bjerre and Howarth for us on Sunday. Josh G is still resting up so probably won't be riding in the promotion/relegation meetings Monday and Wednesday, but things can change I suppose.
  8. First time I saw one of those fence panels go down was when the Sheffield riders came over to the fans after heat 13, Todd Kurtz pushed it down as he tried to climb over it!
  9. Correct again! I thought that some blame for the incident had been put down to the state of the track, why else bring out the tractors to grade it after heat 1?
  10. I have to say you're spot on with all three points. He did lose it on Thursday in the middle of the third and fourth bends, causing Josh G to take evasive action (resulting in his injury woe!) He was about six feet away from the fence when he came down, after Nicholls passed him, somersaulting down the track together with his bike, in a straight line. The booing did start on the introduction of the teams, but got much worse after the first race incident.
  11. Anyone know what the Ipswich team is tonight? Can't remember seeing it on here and it's not on their official website.
  12. Agree 100%. If he's fit to ride Monday and fit to ride Wednesday, then he's fit enough to ride on Tuesday. Absolute nonsense, he should be cited for with holding his services and banned for 28 days!
  13. Whens the re-staging of the CLRC being held? They'd better get it right for that. Or better still they could have it at Sheffield!
  14. Seems like an awful lot of falls tonight. Has the track not been prepared for decent racing tonight for some reason?
  15. And one of those last places was our number one who was obviously having problems with his machinery! As a Sheffield fan I'm erring on the side of caution, we did get a spanking there early on in the season, ok they did have Nico Covatti riding for them at the time, but Danny King and Rory Schlein are no mugs around Foxhall and we rarely seem to do well there. Call me a pessimist........., but I do think we'll win the lot - pairs included!
  16. They have to take on the "next" best team in the league in the K.O. cup and probably in the play off final, so it could be very different and not such a shock!
  17. Yes the TIGERS will win, there's no doubt about that, let's just hope it's the SHEFFIELD TIGERS!
  18. If it stops raining around 3.30 - 4.00 it'll give Boocock and co. time to get the track down. They did a very good job of it last week may I say, 30 heats and no apparent track issues!
  19. My initial post was about the fact that Barker was down to ride on Monday and the last I knew was that he'd got a broken wrist! Yes I was at STMP on the Friday night and saw the incident at the start of the home straight where Barker had locked up a little in the 4th bend, Howarth got his wheels in line and went wizzing down the straight, he must have caught Barkers handlebars or his front wheel with his rear wheel as he passed him to bring him down. Didn't 'wipe him out'. Barker seemed to go down awkwardly which must have resulted in his wrist injury! Ben Barker is an exiting rider, accepted, not everyones cup of tea, (ask the Peterborough fans for their opinion) and that Friday evening heat 1 bend 1 he was on the inside of Josh Grajczonek, made contact with him, forcing him wide, and passed him! Seen him do it a few times and it's called racing. Yes if he's your rider I can understand why you like him, he's full of enthusiasm, outstanding performances? what happened on our last visit in August? Hope you get chance to watch him next season.
  20. Hardly 'wiped him out' did he, Kyle went past him that fast he was at least three bikes lengths past him before Barker went down! Ben doesn't usually need anyone to wipe him out, he's quite good at coming off by himself, and he usually likes a bit of contact with other riders during racing.
  21. Thought Barker had a broken wrist after the draught of Kyle passing him caused him to fall off the other week?
  22. Just seen Josh Bates not riding tonight after a fall at home. Think that will diminish our chances even though flyin' Ryan Douglas will be guesting for him. Josh really put his all into the last meeting up there, even though he was riding Todds bike in his last two races, his effort was incredible. Lasse Bjerre was missing last time, but will he perform tonight? Think the knee injury he's carrying might hinder him at the STMP more than it does on the bigger track at Sheffield.
  23. Sorry, 4 man forgot about the original guest Lewis Kerr! Yes Josh G and Kyle on fire!
