  1. It's time to part company with Max Fricke, Leicester nor any club for that matter will ever win a title with him at no.1, good rider though he is. Jason Doyle is the best rider Leicester has had in the current era, he's a winner and the club should be going the extra mile to try and get him back on board. Szymon Wozniak will probably lose his GP place and could be ideal to have as the second rider of a new spearhead. He'd possibly be assessed as 8 but if given 7 would be a great acquisition and would possibly enable a clear third heat leader to be brought in. Overall, I think Leicester should ring the changes for 2025 but that could include bringing back some riders who have been there before, Dan Thompson being another, and his brother Joe.
  2. I'm sure the management took that into account when they made their decision
  3. 1 Doyle 2 Dan T 3 Tungate 4 Tarasenko 5 Wozniak 6 S. Worrall 7 Joe T
  4. Leicester will come back with their pants on fire in the second leg, whenever and wherever it actually happens. Mr Dickson will make sure of that, most of that team will receive such a roasting at gas mark 12 that their kevlars will glow all week
  5. There's a good bakery up here on Harris, they could maybe be persuaded to produce some on a one-off basis, if the price is suitable?
  6. Yes, I suppose it is! Maybe a few meetings can be preserved in the traditional version for analogue old farts
  7. So the answer to ensuring that speedway survives and thrives is to design it to suit Gen Zedders or whatever they're called, with their shortened attention spans they should be catered-for. Reduce races to one lap, with electric powered bikes, introduce online race prediction competitions via Tik Tok or whatever, and run races in blocks of 6 with track grading breaks. Sorted!
  8. I think Leicester may have already peaked and are not quite at that level now, whereas the signs are that Belle Vue are now on an upwards trajectory
  9. Tripe is a fine, cheap and nutritious food, to be enjoyed cooked with onions and accompanied by dauphinoise potatoes on a cold winter day.
  10. What it needs is a very large wide vacuum cleaner built into a 4-wheeled vehicle that sucks up the dirt out by the fence around two bends then deposits it on the inside of the next two.
  11. Don't take concussions lightly. Their effects can last for a lifetime. This 9- day business gives the impression that afterwards everything's back to normal, but not so
  12. Looked like there were some serious conversations between J.Holder and Stead, which contributed to JH declining or not available to be interviewed. Maybe the Holders thought they'd done their bit at Belle Vue whilst others hadn't, and were doing a "work to rule" last night?
  13. No problem with Kvech there, that's racing. When 4 riders are going for a narrow funnel, any contact is going to at least double the risk of consequences beyond the control of the riders. Sensible decision in that case to do it again with all 4, just as it should have been with heat 3 where Rew was unjustly excluded.
  14. Have had a great day, thanks. Went out early and grabbed a couple of local neighbours' cats and dogs and ate them for lunch. Real tasty.
  15. I thought that Max Fricke and Sam Masters "stole the show" by their brilliant riding in heat 15, which won the match for Leicester
  16. Fricke lost control because he received a big lateral shove from the rider in gate one as they were about to enter bend one. This probably occurred because all four riders by this stage were aiming for more or less the same piece of track. Therefore what happened subsequently could not have been prevented by him and the decision to re-start the heat with all riders was correct.
  17. Slightly curious to put it onto the SCB website, and not the SGB one as is usual I think. And only saying the date of receipt but not date of issue. All a bit fishy. But this may have been done for "commercial considerations", of course, and Leicester don't really have a case to have the result changed to 39-51, and the second leg will still be worth watching😄
  18. Not for certain - but riding for Torun on the 8th would indicate a certificate didn't exist to cover that day, or it had been revoked. And the SCB statement clearly says the 10th. So I'd say it's reasonable to conclude there was quite possibly nothing covering the 9th.
  19. Yes. And no certificate covering the 9th. Therefore no guest allowed. Interesting that this SCB statement has not been posted onto the SGB website, as it would normally have been.
  20. Tuesday the 10th? So what was there, which covered Monday 9th? And if the answer to that is "nothing", then would Ipswich have been entitled to use a guest rider? If not, the points scored by Kvech or Brennan would need to be expunged?
  21. I think maybe the BSPL need to dismiss him asap, before the NFL's lawyers get to work. It may just save their bacon, but even if they do it, they're now vulnerable.
  22. Exactly! And Morris should have simply given the rationale as being the situation with the OB units. But that would have been considered as being too risky of negativity about Eurosport, which is an absolute no-no, and so we have been treated to this charade instead. Complete cockup which was made much worse by the entirely erroneous reference to the NFL. And it would not surprise me if the NFL get their lawyers involved.
