  1. Would Woffinden be welcome? If he did really use foul language over the PA system, and directed it at Ipswich fans, surely that didn't exactly impress the main sponsor of both clubs?
  2. That should mean you won't be signing Craig Cook or Batchelor. But on the other hand.....
  3. Phil Morris is having one built in his back garden, down in south Wales
  4. It reads as if the article was actually written by AEPG, and the timing of its publication was "impeccable"
  5. Hard to believe Mr Chapman's assertion that this wasn't a "cash cow". Perhaps he will in due course substantiate this but more likely it will remain "strictly private"
  6. Nick Morris needs to act decisively over this issue, including imposition of a severe penalty to Woffinden. If he doesn't, he is a straw man
  7. Robert Lambert is usually boringly bland. That was much, much better. However, has he forgotten why he was there? To replace riders injured whilst riding in Poland. Who have merely added to the terrible toll of riders this season seriously hurt not on British tracks but in his beloved Poland.
  8. Ipswich should know how to prep the track to nullify Harris. It shouldn't be difficult to do
  9. Perhaps Laguta's club in Poland kept him on a short leash whereas Emil's cut him a lot more slack - which probably worked to mutual advantage? Also Emil had the advantage of being here from the beginning of the season, compared to Laguta
  10. Excuse me being naive and all that, but I'm curious and concerned about the statements which say that Tai Woffinden was "forced" to ride for Wroclaw yesterday. How can a rider be "forced"? Couldn't Woffinden have simply obtained the necessary medical certification which would presumably have voided insurance. Otherwise, it sounds like Polish speedway is more akin to Rollerball, as portrayed in the film of that name starring James Caan
  11. Probably but i think gate 1also looked well past it's best by then and by putting him in that one, Bomber's route to the outside was cut off unless he made an absolute flier whereas Emil had a good chance from anywhere.
  12. Wouldn't it be simpler to have a rule that requires any guest rider engaged by a team taking part in the playoffs, to have completed a minimum of four official fixtures for another team/s prior to the commencement of the playoffs. "Completed" would be defined as having started in at least 4 heats, including heat 15.
  13. Just seen the match and was surprised that Ipswich put Harris into gate one in heat 15. It also looked like Emil was sat about a foot back from the tapes. It might seem harsh, but a 5-1 there would surely have buried the Aces hopes. But the 3-3 has given them a chance
  14. Judging by the comments on here concerning Mr Chapman's broadcast during this Monday's match, would it be a surprise if he were to be actually operating the bulldozer destroying the stadium, grinning from ear to ear and happily singing "It's Over"? And will anyone attend any Farewell meeting (paying or for free) that is promoted and organised by him?
  15. I just wonder how genuinely random the selection of riders, really is? Both Morris and Worrall were riding soon after sustaining and suffering from injuries which had recently prevented them from riding for a short time. Making them prime targets.
  16. It couldn't be the landlord, could it? Or is he still banned by the SCB for his previous misdemeanors?
  17. I wouldn't rule out the possibility of Tai Woffinden being able to continue riding, this season. Probably needs a few days from the accident until the exact nature and extent of the damage can be established, and from there the treatment and management options.
  18. Cue the Sheffield/Leicester conspiracy crackpots......
