  1. Surely more involved than that? A large factor but must be other considerations to take into account
  2. Could be that available riders are having to choose between Oxford and Birmingham to sign for. Perhaps similar situation to the past two seasons in the CL? If you were a rider, where would you prefer to be?
  3. On the evidence of 2023 there are not enough riders of a sufficiently high standard to support a premiership of 7 teams. It would inevitably mean at least one team becoming tailed off from an early stage, with the associated problems that would be entailed both for those clubs and the league. Much better to consolidate into 6 teams and work to ensure they all reach end of the season in good financial state.
  4. The obvious solution is for Phil Morris to hire the Cardiff stadium (at mates rates), bring Ole Olsen over to instal a track, and sell it to Discovery+ at a huge profit for televising.
  5. An international team? 1. Krysztof Harriszcz 2. Christophe Harrice 3. Kristian Harrisen 4. Christov Harrisov 5. Kristof Harrisdorf 6. Chris McHaggis 7. Christmate Harristrewth
  6. Reactions to this news on Social media so far.. "They cannot be serious!!" J P McEnroe "I don't believe it!!" V. Meldrew "That's cricket, know what I mean". F.Bruno "Maaaan, I just, like, what's it about, whoo". K. Richards
  7. Would Woffinden be welcome? If he did really use foul language over the PA system, and directed it at Ipswich fans, surely that didn't exactly impress the main sponsor of both clubs?
  8. That should mean you won't be signing Craig Cook or Batchelor. But on the other hand.....
  9. Phil Morris is having one built in his back garden, down in south Wales
  10. It reads as if the article was actually written by AEPG, and the timing of its publication was "impeccable"
  11. Hard to believe Mr Chapman's assertion that this wasn't a "cash cow". Perhaps he will in due course substantiate this but more likely it will remain "strictly private"
  12. Nick Morris needs to act decisively over this issue, including imposition of a severe penalty to Woffinden. If he doesn't, he is a straw man
  13. Robert Lambert is usually boringly bland. That was much, much better. However, has he forgotten why he was there? To replace riders injured whilst riding in Poland. Who have merely added to the terrible toll of riders this season seriously hurt not on British tracks but in his beloved Poland.
  14. Ipswich should know how to prep the track to nullify Harris. It shouldn't be difficult to do
  15. Perhaps Laguta's club in Poland kept him on a short leash whereas Emil's cut him a lot more slack - which probably worked to mutual advantage? Also Emil had the advantage of being here from the beginning of the season, compared to Laguta
  16. Excuse me being naive and all that, but I'm curious and concerned about the statements which say that Tai Woffinden was "forced" to ride for Wroclaw yesterday. How can a rider be "forced"? Couldn't Woffinden have simply obtained the necessary medical certification which would presumably have voided insurance. Otherwise, it sounds like Polish speedway is more akin to Rollerball, as portrayed in the film of that name starring James Caan
  17. Probably but i think gate 1also looked well past it's best by then and by putting him in that one, Bomber's route to the outside was cut off unless he made an absolute flier whereas Emil had a good chance from anywhere.
  18. Wouldn't it be simpler to have a rule that requires any guest rider engaged by a team taking part in the playoffs, to have completed a minimum of four official fixtures for another team/s prior to the commencement of the playoffs. "Completed" would be defined as having started in at least 4 heats, including heat 15.
