  1. Would R.Worrall go to KL to replace Jakobsen if Tungate joined Peterborough? You could then maybe replace the fading Andersen with Simon Lambert
  2. Actually rule 19.2.5 of the regulations (2023) allows any team member to take an r/r ride, whenever the absent rider's first and surname initials are the same. Happy days
  3. At times, it's hard to tell the difference between those channels
  4. It could have been worse.....it could have been Ippo v Panthers
  5. Kenny Carter being probably the most disastrous example?
  6. The search for a new #1 is over at last. He was hiding away in plain sight, all along. Like the murderer in a good whodunnit.
  7. So, that's what was meant when Leicester stated that Premiership is more suitable as a business model as their reason for changing leagues!
  8. Could well have been. Just thought he'd maybe had a non-injury absence at some point
  9. Could be wrong but didn't his brother take a holiday last year during the season?
  10. In due course may need to choose between Joe Thompson and Pearson as no 7?
  11. There was a big rumour connecting Laguta and Leicester a few weeks ago. Turned out to be all hocus-pocus. Be careful what you fall for!
  12. Absolutely. Leave it to the owner to do that sort of thing, he's doing fine
  13. Unfortunately he is one of those riders highly susceptible to injury for whatever reason. With James Wright, shoulder injuries so often cause under performance for a few weeks following the rider's return and a spell at No 2 often provides some help in the rehab process. But all too often an op is needed during the winter.
  14. It is almost like there is a curse on the Peterborough No 1 team position to the extent that nobody wants to occupy it, even as guests.
  15. Police investigating.....missing speedway track....answers to name of "Buster"....reward offered for any information.....property developers questioned but only saying "no comment"....
  16. Not sure that he did "retire" - think I saw his name mentioned in a Russian league score a couple of years ago, and Sergei Darkin too!
  17. Back when Leicester had their first dabble with the top tier around ten years ago, I recall rumours circulating then about the Laguta brothers joining the team, which obviously came to nothing even if there was any substance to them. I wonder if the current undercurrent is just a recycling?
  18. I hear that a Leicester team will also be involved on Thursday and won't need to be propped-up with guests. Or is it just a rumour.
  19. Back in the early days of professional rugby union, the great tradition of the on-pitch mass brawl from the good old amateur days was allowed to continue, courtesy of old-school refs like Tony Spreadbury who used to stand aside, let them get on with it, wait till it all calmed down, and occasionally applied a disciplinary measure. Once the players got it out of their systems, things usually calmed down. These days, the refs are running in and tooting their whistles as soon as a player does anything in the slightest bit aggressive to an opponent. And fights between team mates were not uncommon! Speedway needs to increase its appeal by bigging-up the needle and aggro, including between team mates. Too much of the matey stuff gets on my wick
