  1. Very funny ad popped up as I was scrolling through this thread - a high street cash dispenser with long and orderly queue of grey haired people wearing glasses. Those algorithms obviously have a good sense of humour!
  2. The only report I've seen mentioned him getting something like 4 bonus points in an early season match. I'm presuming the above do not include BP's?
  3. What were his track performances like this season so far, up until the recent accident?
  4. Could Zagar be brought in when he is able to ride again? Or perhaps Jeppesen, if Zagar returns to Northampton? Quite handy, having a B team.
  5. As with Mikkelsen and Ljung (plus another whose name is dont recall) at Leicester ten years ago, the promotion talked complete batrubbish and as is often the case, people believed it!
  6. I'm going to put the case for the 2020's. It's getting a raw deal. Umm, errr, hmmm Case proven🫢
  7. You put your right leg in, your left leg out, you do the Hokey Kokey and you....fall flat on your face. So, Kennett's failing to practice has saved Ipswich from even further embarrassment!
  8. It's a gift that never stops giving😆
  9. I've put this onto the Premiership section because i've given up trying to get my tech to get into a general speedway discussions area! It applies to Championship level as well. In the 1970's there were riders galore with averages over 9 points. Plenty over 10 and a small but significant contingent over 11. Maximums or nearly by Mauger, Olsen, Crump, Collins, Lee, Louis, Simmons etc were commonplace. Ah, those were the days! Or were they?? Today, more or less anybody can and does beat the "top dogs". No more dominance, at least at the Mauger and Olsen level. I'm sure the race format and gate position changes will have played a big part in this. So what's better? Domination by an elite group or riders, or greater unpredictability?
  10. This time, it looks like Leicester has dealt with this whole matter in the right way
  11. I suspect his real name is Nicolas Klynovski who is a Russian FSB agent using the cover of pretending to be a speedway rider to send coded messages to the Kremlin which give hourly assessments out of 10, of Britain's ability to defend itself against an invasion
  12. What sort of part does insurance play in that sort of thing? Do riders become uninsurable after a certain point? Adam Roynon kept on coming back and back, maybe still riding occasionally now?
  13. He probably has a high pain threshold. Physically and mentally different gravy from the standard human. Bless his cotton socks
  14. Serving a long sentence at one of His Majesty the King's guest houses?
  15. You would perhaps be surprised at what they are capable of now. I think it's probably Elon Musk doing this, who is no longer human
  16. Maybe this is not being done by a human. How could one person be able to constantly make posts across so many theads, using so many identities. Just doesnt seem humanly possible
  17. Maybe the two clubs could combine their riders into a single squad and make team selections on a match by match basis? "Best commercial interests" and all that.
  18. Looks like he could have been killed without the airfence. No head injury by the sound of things. Hopefully the thigh can mend ok. Not sure about the vertebrae, though. The bike should have been impounded although will it be in any condition to be examined. Shocking incident, good he is still alive. What a terrible blow to the sport after everything that went on during winter and the injury toll so far
  19. Being a Director doesn't necessarily mean that person is a shareholder. When i looked at Companies House info a few weeks ago, Lemon was the only named director. But does the CH info disclose shareholders? Not to my knowledge, but you could have access to greater depth info?? I tend to think that shareholder identities are usually hidden information, a private matter unless disclosed by the shareholder publicly?
  20. PS have just seen Gavan's post which has previously said this.
  21. Is there a possibility that by looking back over his left shoulder, Rushen caused his bike to veer to the left afterwards? Thereby not a deliberate move, but one caused by lack of experience but neverthleless something which should be addressed with him?
  22. In Rugby Union there's an official sat off-field, whose job it is to report anything the other match officials could have missed. The alledly offending player then has to go up in front of "the beak" and either has the allegation dismissed, gets a slap on the wrist (short ban) or a kick up the pants (longer ban). Most of the bans can be reduced if the player agrees to go on a course.
