  1. if there is no steady or jason next year, i would love to see jack holder as a tiger if plymouth do not run, maybe arthur has timed his good form at the right moment, but for me he hasnt pulled no trees up in 2 years and is one of the lowest average number 6`s in the league and bearing in mind he comes up against fellow reserves too, maybe jack smith might be worth considering, especially if we have to go with 2 brits at reserve as has been mooted.
  2. well i would love to see the tigers do it, but think we will be easily beaten at somerset, and will be hard pressed to win the home leg, not a fan of the play offs as when you have raced everyone home and away over a season and you have finished top of the pile then you deserve to be crowned champions. so my heart says tigers, my head says rebels.
  3. food for thought...........................if we didnt have the stupid play offs none of us would be reading this thread. then the bitter ones amongst us would be a lot happier.
  4. give over....hartlepool wouldnt be able to afford messi`s national insurance contributions let alone his wage, and do they have any second rate strikers, i thought they were all 3rd rate.
  5. that should say, yes at this present time, if peterborough go and win at edinburgh next friday were not, anything but a peterborough win and we are in the play offs.
  6. good to hear the rider interviews afterwards, some interesting comments made, and josh really spoke from the heart, not the usual scunny racing due to the slickness of the track, but a good close meeting up to the last 3 heats, completed in quick time as usual, well done to all at scunny for finishing on a high at the ewr, looking forward to a close meeting next wednesday on a track your boys go well on.
  7. what a cracking meeting this was and credit goes to all 17 riders that participated, there was some spills along the way, but also some very good races, this was full of lads wanting to race on a track which allowed them to, better meeting than any elite crap sky puts on, well done boys.
  8. superb bit of team changing by the panthers, just in time for the play offs, well done, but spare a thought for tom perry, raised his average from 3.00 to 4.26 and loses his place, no justice there for a young brit.
  9. tony atkins, jon armstong, david mason, anyone? these guys do a great job with the young guys and are someone they look upto and respect, im sure if richard was allowed to ride in the NL, these guys would hold him up there with the afore mentioned 3 riders. we need to be looking after the british riders that are willing to ride and not blocking them from riding, unlike some PL clubs that sign foreign riders with poor averages.
  10. would be nice for andre to get a testimonial meeting after the years of service he has given to the sport.
  11. lambert was full value, had 2 great battles with garrity and one with steady, good to see a young brit come and show us the next british GP rider, thats how high i rate this young guy, worrall and kus gave excellent back up to him, well done to the diamonds for giving us a battle, they should be in the mix at the end of the season. there is a clip of heat 11 available on the BSPA website.
  12. his form didnt tail off that much after the darcy ward accident did it, only went and won the national title in aussie.
  13. no matter what the teams should have been, who was fit and who was sick, lets be grateful to the 2 sides that turned out and gave us a thrilling meeting with a last heat decider, what more could we ask for.
  14. all this debating about holub, i found it strange how these people rated the guy, never impressed me and has proved so far that he is not good enough for the premier league.
  15. full credit to the sheffield boys, blitzed the scottish tigers and fully deserved the win, if lawson doesnt get out of the gate at owlerton he is ordinary to say the least.
  16. that team has a good look about it, but i would take proctor to finish top of the averages from that list, wilko needs to get his a$$ in gear soon.
  17. errrm, could it be andre compton one wonders. was seen at the ewr at the last meeting.
  18. neutral point of view, track brilliant as usual, stadium is basic but its home to the scorpion fans and the view of the whole track is very good, you would have been complaining if the wind was blowing across that damn field, superb meeting, scunny will have some close matches this season I reckon, nice to see ryan flying again, and josh bailey was on the gas as I predicted before his signing, davies is going to be a solid scorer this year, reckon you will miss klindt when he goes, as for the witches, covatti was head and shoulders above everyone, nice to see kerr racing and scoring well, sarj will do a good job, if you can give paco time he will come good, some even looking teams in this division this year, a lot depends on injuries but fancy the witches for a top 6 spot. superb meeting to start the season with, I do like this sunday switch too.
  19. who`s to say that klindt may not get to ride for his polish side with the reputation some of these polish teams have with their foreign riders, so could end up staying the full season.
  20. and I thought simon stead was the leagues best number 1, according to the averages, cookie could guest for simon, but simon couldn't guest for cookie, point proven. there are a lot of pl teams you could make a title case for, they all look of similar strength apart from about 3 teams, this years basement club redcar could look a hot bet if they get the right guy in as last member, monarchs for the play offs in my book.(and I tipped you guys to win it this year)
  21. 8.87 left, is josh riding pl this year, or could it be a return for olly allen.
