  1. the time when stoney went after him at Sheffield with the spade I recall the week after, the Sheffield promotion showed their sense of humour by listing stoney in the programme as CARL SPADEHEWER, classic.
  2. if you don't want tommy J. we will have him at owlerton anyday, hope josh and benji are ok and the same for the buxton lad too. p.s. it sounds like rob has an exciting aussie for you next year with him asking for accommodation.
  3. who`s to say that it wont be one big league next season? Eastbourne already dropped out of the elite for 2015, and we don't know if the points limit will stay the same, if it does I think a promising side would be - 1. stead 2. poole 3. wells (prepares to be shot down) 4. wolbert 5 proctor 6. Wilson 7. bates think we have seen the last of andre on a racetrack now.
  4. a fifth Argentinian in carlos villar has also rode at Sheffield for Berwick, cant think of anymore that have ridden here.
  5. at least he will obtain an average between now and the end of the season which may be to our advantage on the team building front for next season, plus proctors average for next season might make him a sought after guy.
  6. at least PL is better than having none at all due to having a conman running the club.
  7. redcar or lakeside don't have any meetings on those 4 nights mentioned, hence lawsons bookings.
  8. a tremendous gesture rob, just hope some of the brummies take up your offer.
  9. how about this for a revised line up stead Compton mellgren/rosen katajisto proctor poole bates 42.05 with mellgren in, and 41.27 with rosen. can anyone tell me whats happened at Plymouth with katajisto?
  10. I love that guys name down to ride for stoke `scooter Webster` he sounds like something out of the 50`s, with a name like that he has got to make it in the future.
  11. ive read them, the ruling is still a joke, and still think it has been abused for what it was first introduced for, how do we explain the ruling to a newcomer to the sport.
  12. the doubling up/down rule is a joke, it was first brought in for young brits but has got out of control, keep it for british riders only and it wouldn't be so bad, at the moment it is used for foreign riders to improve and stifle the progress of young brits.
  13. it will be interesting to see what route the management go down when making these changes, will they go for a short term fix i.e. magnus karlsson(cannot think of many out there that fit this bill apart from him) or the long term route with an untried dane/swede on an assessed 7 pts whilst at the same time adding to the asset base. I see that Michael palm toft has scored well in a couple of premier league guest outings this last week, maybe could be an option. p.s. nice to see taylor among the points tonight, maybe the threat of being without a team place has shook him up.
  14. looking at our home fixtures spinny we have lost 4 out of 7 which is bottom of the table form no matter who we have rode against, out of the wins we have had redcar was by 2 pts and Newcastle was 6 or 7, hardly dominant performances on our own track, the sad thing is we are running with only 1 heat leader and the sooner the management re-address this the better or crowds will start to dwindle im afraid, I agree that we don't need too many changes, I personally would only make 2 changes as soon as the july averages are known.
  15. are you asking for berwicks sake cos we wont make the playoffs with this septet.
  16. is that what you told ricky ashworth and birko down the years then, we all know the promotions leave out guys cos they want others in the team so then someone cannot fit in due to their average being too high.
  17. yes an asset also means nothing if we cant fit him in due to averages or they have a fall out with the promotion or cant agree terms. so hardly the earthshattering news that the promotion made it out to be, but nice to see the promotion increasing their asset base.
  18. interesting to see the press release regarding season tickets, with the inclusion of a free programme, it seems the previous debate on programme versus racecard has been solved, preferably my choice would be a racecard when you see some of the other programmes that are knocking about,
  19. all the best to hoggy in whatever path he chooses to take, and thanks for the hard work put into Sheffield speedway down the years, I just think it is a shame that keyboard warriors are attacking a guy on here hiding behind their alias`, whether you like him or loathe him for whatever reason lets bid him farewell and good luck for the service put into running the tigers. GOOD LUCK AND THANKS HOGGY.
  20. a year of northern dominance, scunny, Edinburgh, Newcastle and Sheffield. outsiders worky.
  21. happy, happy, happy. a team that has some racers that should get the crowds back to owlerton, a mixture of youth and experience, a solid look about it and andre at reserve is the trump card, play offs await.
  22. WHAT?........................ we haven't got a team yet, and your worried about injuries and who we will use as guest. as we all know injuries are part and parcel of the sport, so its no use worrying if someone will get injured at this stage.
  23. why don't the Swindon fans wait until the accusations have been investigated by the powers that be, before they start slinging accusations the tigers way. for all we know this situation could have been cooked up by a certain party just to cover embarrassment.
