  1. Yeah but don't let all that get in the way of the rumours and speculation from people who know feck all.
  2. Riders want to do it, promoters want to stage it, fans want to watch it and sponsors want to be invest in it. What's the issue?
  3. Don't you find it a bit short sighted of the BSPA to not allow a Great Britain team or certain riders to compete and raise awareness of the struggling sport on some decent TV slots? Maybe the BSPA could have entered a team of their own, found some sponsorship for the team and made a bit of a profit from it?
  4. Have you spoken to them and asked them if they are interested in doing the meeting or found out there reasons for not doing it? At the end of the day there are 16 riders needed for it. Not all the main riders in the UK or Europe can be fitted into it.
  5. Maybe they haven't been asked to ride in it you thick tw@t.
  6. Yeah good idea to cut down on the track grading. Then all the cockwombles on the terraces will moan about the lack of passing due to the dirt being out by the fence and a rutted track. Lets not have any sun breaks and enjoy watching the crashes on the 3rd bend as result.
  7. Experience. The more laps that a rider does on a track then the more he will learn about what is needed from the bike.
  8. Not sure about Notro, but Nitro still works well.........
  9. It's not difficult to find out. The clues are in the words.
  10. Turn speedway into a betting sport so there is less reliance on dribbling idiots coming throuhg the turnstiles.
  11. , cant imagine for 1 second that any other rider would be so Ignorant and self absorbed that they would replace their hat and start talking and giggling like a complete tosser while their anthem is being played . Is that your main problem? Think if I had just won a World title I'd stood there having a w@nk.
  12. Not if you know how to look after a bike.
  13. I read a feature by the historian Tony Webb a couple of weeks ago. At what was thought to be the first speedway meeting proper in Australia the scoring system was the same as the GP uses today, 20 heats, 2 semi-finals and a final to decide the winner. So actually the GPs are using the proper traditional method.
  14. The biggest problem with speedway. Fans don't like watching the sport unless it involves their own pissant team.
  15. Norman hunter used to service his JAPs after EVERY meeting if he had the time. He also did engine tuning for other riders occasionally. When he moved onto jawas he found them slightly more reliable allowing bigger gaps between servicing and the Weslakes could go even longer between services.
  16. It's not the rod that needs changing, it's the flywheels. If using GM parts then longstoke flywheels in a shortstroke engine results in something like 547cc. Apparently.....
  17. Yes they do. I have been at Brands a 2 or 3 times when qualifying at car meetings has been delayed to allow the sun to rise more.
  18. 1: GP star 2: Random bloke with some free time or R/R 3: Random bloke with some free time 4: Polecat 5: bacon scoffer 6: Northern Bloke 7: Tall Bloke
  19. In picture 3 it looks as though the left side lug is still attached to the engine plates the same as the right side. Whatever happened I bet it grabbed his attention!
