No Scot Nichols, Chris Harris, Stefan Nielsen Or Ashley Morris

And Jacobs should be at BV so that should leave only Morley & Nielsen? But on the bright side several new NL riders are breaking through. -

Why should it be a minimum 7 average for new foreigners when there are plenty of existing foreigners on lower averages? Should promoters be encouraged to keep signing riders like Klindt & Konopka rather than new ones & why should every new foreigner be penalised with high averages when they too are the future lifeblood of our sport because we have too few British riders. Any new foreigners should simply have an assessed average depending on how good they are (looking at their averages in other leagues) - maybe with a minimum of 4 for those who have not ridden in the top leagues in Poland, Sweden or Denmark & a maximum of 9 for those who have qualified for the GPs or achieved greater than 8 in any of those leagues - but not everyone on a 7. That would be mad. -
This season's Somerset six leaves 7.88 & the best rider under this would be Batchelor on 7.36, wasting .52 & leaving the team a bit weak at number 1 (Tungate) & too strong at 6 & 7 (Allen & BWD), so how about: Kylmakorpi Allen Barker Tungate Grajczonek BWD Williamson Might not choose Barker normally but you need two Brits.

At least most of those Brits have Premiership places & with two Brits still required by KL, BV & Leicester, there's still hope for Jacobs, Nielsen & Morley. -

At least Sarj has a Coventry team place. I think Ayres is injured. P.S. Yes, sorry I missed Ashley at Newcastle. Good for him. -
With only 12 team places left & Bewley, Masters, Wells & Clegg likely to fill four, it would be a shame to lose Stefan & Ashley. I guess the much-hyped doubling down of Nicholls & Harris didn't happen because of their slightly high averages, wage demands or overseas commitments, but surely they would have been box office for some clubs?
-
Good team, Hyderabad, & they should stick by those riders, rotating with Richie & Grajkzonek, for years to come.
-
Col, get over it, Wolves will sign Masters. If they don't they're daft, regarding both next season & the future.
-
2016 averages are irrelevant though as brand new averages will apply after 4H&A. Most teams will be about 42 then, although Poole might be 44 & Leicester 38!
-
Better reserves than Newcastle & Ipswich & Perks is better than Tom Bacon at the Panthers!
-
Ok. Woffinden. Or anyone else similar & available!
-
Like for like. If it's before 4H&A we could sign anyone up to 13.41 or, after, anyone up to Doyle's achieved average. E.g. Kildemand on 9.94. No worries.

After 4h&a Could Poole Replace Klindt With Vaculik?
DC2 replied to DC2's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
No, I would have asked the same question if he had signed for Wolves. -

It really is amazing that the promoters did not study the averages & realise that certain glaring anomalies should be addressed. Klindt 5.42 instead of 8.9!!!! Come on! Even if CVS or Ford had fancied it, surely a majority vote could have defeated it? -
After 4h&a Could Poole Replace Klindt With Vaculik?
DC2 replied to DC2's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Yes, I can see that makes sense for tactical team changes but not for an injury replacement (if Klindt achieves an 8 point average & breaks his leg, or mysteriously decides to withhold his services!). Are they not entitled to a like for like replacement? -
If Klindt can average 8 from reserve, would this be a possibility? And if not Vaculik on 8, maybe Batchelor on 7.36? The only karma would be Nicolai obtaining a fair average & becoming unemployable! After all, he should have been 8.9 on a 1.4 conversion of his EL average! Presumably Nicolai realised this & insisted on a full season's contract (doubt it with Ford)?

Patrick Hansen:

Hopefully by the end of the season, we'll average Doyle 10 Andersen 4.5 Bellego 7 Ellis 7 Morris 8 Wajknecht 3 Grondal 4.5 44, enough for the play-offs.
-
So why not reassess all foreigners, including the likes of Lasse Bjerre, to a minimum of 7? Can't see how you can object to Andersen being a 5 when Klindt is 5.42.
-
Why, when the Bees have signed fellow Dane, Lasse Bjerre, on less than 7? It's perfectly reasonable to have an untried, new, young foreign rider on a 5 point average. Otherwise we'll be stuck with the existing dross like Klindt on 5.42
-
What are their grades, e.g. Ellis, Lambert, Bates, Newman & Howarth?
-
Hansen? Lol
-
Retaining assets like Nick Morris breeds loyalty from the rider & fans. Nick, Ellis, Wajknecht & the Danes could ride for the club for years. He was rubbish in the U21 finals, loads of falls & lasts. The good British riders will get Premiership places regardless & the others have plenty of places in the lower leagues. The real problem is Championship sides persisting with the likes of Konopka.
-
A young, exciting team & the possibility of new assets for the future. Much better than Poole's team of has-been & ringers. Let's face it, we win the league every forty years & that's the way we like it!
-
Nah, not Poole, we'll be having local derbies with Somerset!
