OK, maybe Leszno is better than Kings Lynn, but no where near as good as Vastervik where pretty much every heat was contested. There'll be at least 12 processional heats tonight.

Leszno track looks rubbish - on a par with Kings Lynnn - compared to the brilliant Vastervik track. Can see only a Polish gate fest in the final!

Can't see any magic signings for us but last chance to replace Gappy with Auty or Ryan Douglas before Monday.

The 1970 team had some fantastic individuals but the1982 team played the best football I've ever seen; "total football" with every player skilled on the ball & capable of attacking from anywhere on the pitch. They lacked only a centre forward (which, unfortunately, Italy had). Gappmaier is 5.57 now for Berwick. I can see us getting rid of him and Zach. There's got to be some average fiddle available, like signing Tungate & Ritchings now for Ellis & Zach before the new averages apply and then when Tungate gets his new average bring back Ellis & a new rider for Gappmaier & Ritchings.

Batch isn't a big risk at all. Along with Klindt he is one who could put a point on his team-building average. Most others will lose a point or more.

Here's my guess as to the order of finishing averages for the heatleaders. Still can't see how KL, Wolves & Poole are fancied & everyone thinks Swindon will finish bottom.
