The whole lot. Don’t make your point with hyperbole.
-
Don’t despair, be realistic; speedway riders have averages regardless of their age and fairness is particularly important for team-building.
-
That’s a Sun headline. It’s neither blackmail, nor slavery, is it. I don’t know if it’s contrary to employment law. In many employment contracts there are restraint of trade and non-competition clauses and in football, for example, there are transfer windows and Cup-tied rules which include an element of restraint of trade. In speedway, averages, assessed averages, CL/PL conversion rates and team-building limits are effectively restraint of trade.

Not forcing a rider to ride for a club, just making it a rule that he will have to sit out a year if he doesn’t. A similar rule to a team-building points limit.
-
After the scandals involving Batchelor, Miedzinski, Klindt and Morris, it’s about time there were clear rules regarding assets and team-building: any rider (whether an asset or not) who rode for the club this season and who is offered a contract (on the same terms plus inflation) before 1 December must sign for that club or sit out the season; any asset who has not been offered a contract by his parent club before 1 December is free to sign for another club. That would stop poaching and stop clubs sitting on assets and it would encourage loyalty which benefits the fan base.

Hmmmm. That’s what we all hoped for Jack Smith at Swindon this year but it didn’t happen and he lost confidence. In the interests of progression it might work if every Championship club included one rider who rode solely in the NL the previous season and achieved a minimum 7 point average. And if Kemp 9.15 and Flint 8.55 are given 2 point starting averages, the same as Rowe 7.26 and Atkins 6.9, it is wrong.

....... and he delivers all those presents on Christmas Day. What a guy!
-
........ and the seven riders at the end of the season?
-
We need Berge to wind his neck I If he wants a team place next year!
-
Routine win for Wolves, but home form alone is not enough for them to get into the play offs! 51-39.
-
Jack Smith has just tweeted that he wants you replaced!

Premiership Most Improved Rider 2018

Jack Smith for me. Not done much on the bike but he annoys ReadingRacer2017 more and more every meeting, so he gets my vote. -
You’re back after a little lay down, out of the sun? Keep it clean.
-
Yes, I think he’s sussed how to ride rubbish in the CL at £50 a point to drop his average and then sign for a desperate PL club at £250 a point!
-
“Nicolai Klindt was looking for a team place but all the clubs were passing”?
-
Come on, BV fans, you need to get behind your team for this one! Hopefully some of you will be coming down, sombreros at the ready?
-
Yep, the usual Poole hired hand, just passing through.
-
Yep, but for Poole fans Chris Harris is a die hard Pirate!
-
He’s just dusting off the glugometer

King's Lynn v Belle Vue 08-08-2018

Were you, Lemo and everyone else who has criticised the decision actually in line with the finish line like Tony Steele? If not, any other angle gives a false impression. -
Two losses for Poole and then Swindon can finally boot them out of the play offs on the 22nd! Happy Days!!!!
-
Well, to be fair, Poole haven’t won it for a while, and we don’t mind the lesser clubs getting a look in now and again.
-
Unfortunately he won’t get the chance: Shanes and Szzzzzpaniak are long gone.
-
No, I wouldn’t make the change, but we could do it as a 42.5 point redeclaration. Zac is doing more than could be expected so let’s keep the team. They’ve done very well, whether or not we win the league. It would certainly be a hollow victory if Poole’s band of mercenaries cobble together a title win. No pasaran!
