Championship League Team Points Limit
DC2 replied to DC2's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Cook and Jensen are 19.23 and I’d have them regardless of the limit. 38 would leave 18.77 and 42, 22.77 for five riders. -

You could probably sign six riders up to 36, just in case the limit is 38, and then have a 2 to 6 point final rider to finish when the limit is agreed. Or do a Redcar and sign three heatleaders to 24 and then fill in. -
But not Kurtz, Grajczonek, Klindt and Holder.

It’s far better as a team sport.

King and Howarth double up already and three of the first four named have PL averages that may preclude them from the CL. Huckenbeck, for example, would be 8.85 and Nilsson 11.41. Do you really see Aspgren and the last two as heatleaders? That leaves Rene Bach! -
As Poole leave the lofty shores of the Premiership, just a reminder that they go with their heads held high as winners of yet another trophy. Goodbye, farewell ..... Championship League Team Points Limit

Noted. NBJ was the only one of heatleaders status at 7.45. None of the others was above 6.49 (Starke). I didn’t count Barker because he signed for another club. -

Could you name six possible ones who’d make decent heatleaders/number ones? -
Those four come to 28.84. 11.16 points left for three riders if the limit is 40.

Championship League Team Points Limit
DC2 replied to DC2's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
There are thirteen 3 to 6 point riders from the CL this year who finished the season without a club, due to injury or being dropped. There are none above 6 points. How will the two extra clubs get heat leaders if the points limit stays above 40? -
If you want to know what’s wrong with British speedway

Chocolate is relevant? Well, yes, in a diabetes sense. Cadbury’s Dairy Milk, for example, has 55% sugar and 25% cocoa solids. People are addicted to sugar, not chocolate. -

If Poole, Plymouth and Kent replace Sheffield there will be thirteen teams in the Championship next season. But with the 1.6 conversion rate it will be more difficult for current non-Championship riders to come down from the PL. So will there be enough riders or will the limit have to be set at 38 so the shortfall comes from NL 2 pointers?

Palm oil or not Cadbury’s still is and always has been, in all of its guises, 45% sugar. -
He’s 25 and a perfectly decent rider. Why would we not be happy to have him when we have Klindt, Busk Jacobsen, Bellego, Pieszczek, Bjerre, Covatti and Jorgensen.
-
I’m not sure that Swindon would like all their apprentices learning their trade on the bumpy Poole track.
-
But they can afford Doyle, Fricke, Thorsell, Lambert, Bjerre, Iversen, Musielak etc? Of course they can afford him, provided they think he’s worth it and will be committed and they build the rest of their team accordingly. If clubs don’t have the ambition to sign riders like Bech we might as well scrap the PL and just have the CL.
-
Either they just show Kent away or they record it, cut out the rubbish and have a decent programme.
-
... unless they actually wanted to win the Play Offs! Regards, The Champions

Where did you see that?
-
I hadn’t been to speedway since the 1970s and got back into it by watching matches on Sky in 2005 and then started going to watch Swindon in 2006. So TV coverage was instrumental in me going to live speedway. Strangely, though, I have watched cycling and rugby union on TV for more than thirty years but I have never once been tempted to go and see either.

That list looks wrong. Here’s the official averages. Much more accurate! http://www.speedwaygb.co.uk/files/downloads/p19_issue_25.pdf

You mean, Poole asset, young Brit on the up. Obvious, isn’t it? Correct. It won’t be Poole, they’d rather sign a 34 year old Continental on a false average.
-
I think he will be signed next season regardless of whether or not he can add to his average because he has proven himself in all three leagues to be both a winner and a crowd pleaser!
