  1. Are you saying Iversen should have returned on an 8 or kept 7.38 because he has been relatively loyal to the GB leagues?
  2. Very good point. Iversen came back in on 7.38, which was too low for a GP standard rider.
  3. Has this slant on it come from Plymouth or the BSPA? Surely Plymouth knew the criteria before they applied? Did they know they couldn’t meet the conditions or did the BSPA impose new ones so they could favour Poole and Kent?
  4. Not if it seems about right. Which it does, looking at the comparables.
  5. He’s spot on with the team options though. It all hinges on whether Nick Morris wants to come back. Does anyone know?
  6. If Musielak wants to come back I would keep him and have Wells (or Berge if we get some Brit discounts) instead of Vissing.
  7. Don’t be daft, they’d need seven.
  8. Just in from Steve Shovlar, precariously balanced on the white cliffs of Dover: “We'll meet againDon't know whereDon't know whenBut I know we'll meet again some sunny dayKeep smiling throughJust like you always do'Till the blue skies drive the dark clouds far awayyyyyyyyyyyy .... “ Over and out.
  9. They’re saving money on travel costs and hoping they might get 100 away supporters at the “local” derbies. A couple of grand a meeting is big money these days.
  10. King Mountain Stewart Perks S Worrall Nielsen Kemp .2 over, but might just fit with Brit discounts. A top heat 13 and 15 pairing, four up and coming riders, including Kemp, the best youngster, and Stefan Nielsen a trump card starting at reserve.
  11. Nope, he’s the new leader of the Labour Party.
  12. Shock news in from the AGM: In a major announcement Matt Ford has agreed a deal for the sale of Poole Speedway. Grinning from ear to ear, a half-baked Matt said, “After a year with no one coming forward I was beginning to think that there are no fools out there, but I am pleased to announce that Jeremy Corbyn has taken over the club with immediate effect in return for a year’s free broadband subscription, and he will build upon my success of the last few months”. The team will be called Team GB and it will retain the seven foreign riders that rode for Poole last year in an effort to encourage more home grown talent from abroad. Matt also thanked Jeremy for his advice on the recent Poole “PL v CL referendum”, agreeing that the 10% CL vote should be honoured. And finally he thanked John McDonnell, the new director of finance, and his ground-breaking plan to offer free admission and run the club for as long as possible. ”We hope to get to heat ten of the first meeting”, beamed John. “That would be a result!”

  15. Amazing that no news has been leaked yet! Speedwaygb said news will be released today. IT’S AGM WEEK We will bring you all the news and reaction on Friday...
  16. Forget them. Turn this into something positive. List your manifesto of improvements here in one place.
  17. Why not say absolutely everything you want and get it off your chest? Some constructive suggestions on improvements would be welcomed.
  18. Eight riders seems dangerous to me and too much of a gimmick. Having said that, I’d happily be proven wrong.
  19. I make that £18,000 for a 6 point rider in the PL, riding 30 matches in the season? That would have to be a net return to make it worthwhile, with all engines, tuning, equipment, vans, petrol and mechanics to be covered by sponsorship.
  20. Jona Lewie (formerly Louis) Here comes the cavalry
  21. If the limit is 42.5, I think we’ll drop Batchelor and Vissing or Musielak and Vissing.
  22. Yes, that was daft. But it doesn’t mean that all innovation is.
