Who says 2 pointers are allowed next year? And Mountain’s converted average would be 2.95.
-
So the biggest discrepancy is Iversen and your logic would say he should now be 6.97 (from a few rushed end of season fixtures) rather than the 7.54 rolling average over his last twenty matches? He’s a GP rider and anyone signing him next year on 7.54 should have a bargain! 6.97 would be plain daft. I think that proves that rolling averages are pretty good. Grading is just averages made inaccurate and subjective.
-
You could be right, but he was nearly 9 at home and about 6.5 away, so in some respects he’s the ideal rider to sign on 7.9 as he should help to ensure home wins and be able to improve away.
-
Good side. Would there be no room for Pickering instead of Kurtz?
-
Surely conjecture and criticism have a place on a forum?
-
Yes, when you’re not a swearer you cringe inside every time someone swears and they often realise that. Unfortunately, many builders use it every day at work and continue to do so at home and in public, and a lot of youths do as a rite of passage or part of gangsta culture.
-
Yes, youngsters seem to be favouring “literally” over “like” now. I guess it’s a move in the right direction to replace ten “like” with three “literally”. I’m literally over the moon, as they would say.

Do you really believe that? Leigh was a legend in team speedway in every country for ten solid years and came second and had other top five finishes in the World Championship riding against similar speedway legends, Rickardsson, Gollob, Crump and Hancock. Doyle’s competitors were emerging poles who hadn’t won a title, a hot and cold and often injured Woffinden and a 45 year old Greg Hancock.
-
Good point, but Leigh Adams was a better team rider and averaged 10.
-
If so, that’s poor judgment. It was one of the better ideas of the BSPA to do away with Jack Smith type two pointers.
-
Yes, it was bad team building last season with two poor reserves and Lampart, all of whom were replaced, and we got lucky with Rasmus. Next year’s team is going down the same road. Rosco’s only excuse must be that Musielak will not ride the UK and that Morris wants to return to Wolves. It looks like our best hope is to have Jeppesen/Stewart at 2 on a 4 point average (unless we can fit Pickering on 4.36) and Perks 3.57 and Kemp 3 at reserve. Regarding Doyle, I have only ever said that he is not in the same class as Leigh Adams and that he should be averaging a point more in this league.

Agreed. Foul language is foul and it makes the person using it to appear uneducated and disrespectful to those who happen to hear it.
-
I thought you were hot on the minimum averages! Anders hasn’t achieved CL 4.8 yet so he can’t have a 3 average.
-
There you go, Sidney, arguing against what’s staring you in the face. No logic to this team building.
-
Rasmus?

Only a mental age of 5.

Birmingham Brummies 2020

Barker would be a good shout though for the grippy track that Shanes, Harris and Garrity need. -
Fair enough. Just seemed that BV underperformed this year and they couldn’t get Bewley and Worrall going.
-
Has anyone else blossomed under Lemon?
-
Or check out the PL for attractive converters, like Bellego and Andersen. Or even Lidsey!
-
Don’t think Kennedy and MacDonald qualify for the PL unless they achieved an average above 4.8 at some point in the CL this year?
-
Hans, King, Worrall and a 6, 5, 3, 2 tail? Might work.
-
But maybe Gavan is an antidote to your Poole propaganda? I know you’re a Poole sponsor and, quite rightly, you want the club to be successful, but you never make any constructive criticism of the promotion. If you can’t occasionally adopt a more objective viewpoint, you’ll have to accept that, on a forum, others may take a contrary view.
-
Could you give a couple of examples, Steve, to support your point?
-
Where’s the value in Todd Kurtz? His converted average is 3.39 but presumably he’d come in on the Aussie minimum of 4? Pickering, CL 6.98 would be 4.36 and better value, or Vissing or Proctor, both 4.43.
