It’s weird, isn’t it, Brady Kurtz has always looked like a smooth Leigh Adams type rider, like Dan Bewley too, and yet Doyle came from the reckless type, like Kildemand, Ben Barker and Josh Bates.
OK, a 5 point Dane and Connor Mountain and Danyon Hume at reserve.
But Birkemose and Jeppesen are the only ones who represent good value on 5.
Matias Nielsen, for example, is unlikely to better 5 in his first season.
Yes, you’re right.
It looks like 5 is the new assessed average for Europeans (or riders who have ridden in one of the European professional leagues, Poland, Denmark, Sweden and poss Germany).
Only Sam Jensen and Tobias Thomsen have come in on 5, all of the others have been 5.2.
Did 5 replace 5.2 sometime this year?
Or was it because they hadn’t ridden in the top Danish league? Or they were reserves in that league?
Most Danes come in on 5.2, so Aussies have the advantage of 4 point averages and Kennedy/MacDonald have a year’s CL track experience.
Birkemose or Jeppesen on 5.2 would be the exceptions in terms of value.
If I were the new promoter I would certainly ask Hans Andersen (9.26).
What’s not to like for a headline name that would draw in the crowds, provided there’s a way to cover his wages.
Looking at who’s left:
King
Nielsen
Worrall
Lesser Bjerre
Ellis
Kennedy/MacDonald/4 point Aussie
Bowtell
Or Berge, Kinsley and Hume to support a couple of young Brits.
