  1. Wow, you're gorgeous ...................... wait til Stevebrum sees you
  2. Don't be mean. Freddie's been a decent servant to British speedway & you shouldn't begrudge him in the twilight of his career.
  3. No, you're right. I apologise. I like your squad idea & anything that encourages rider/club loyalty but it wouldn't work unless (i) all EL matches were on a Wednesday/Thursday & all PL on Fri/Sat/Sun, (ii) the PL riders were fairly shared between the EL clubs, & longer term (iii) annual equalisation should be tempered with greater rider retention, possibly by allowing three year contracts for riders & their increased averages being ignored for team building.
  4. So a four man team if your six squad riders aren't available? Not so bright eh?
  5. You miss my point. The facts are different but the principle is the same: any club or rider can test BSPA decisions in court. And risk losing his restraint of trade case on grounds of insanity?
  6. No, I'm suggesting exactly as the Panthers' promotion did two years ago: if the BSPA makes a decision that you disgaree with you can have it tested in court. If Swindon signed Batch without buying him, submitted him to the BSPA for approval & they refused, they could be subject to court action by Swindon or Batch. If Swindon decide to sign Zagar instead & publicly state that they would have signed Batch if the BSPA hadn't insisted they buy him, then Batch should issue a writ for restraint of trade.
  7. No, he doesn't. Don't think the BSPA or Peterborough could do anything if Swindon just sign him without buying him, without risking a court case that they would lose.
  8. Don't think so! Boro have missed a big chance - could've got Zengota on 5.57 & put Fisher at reserve!
  9. Kylma? No thanks! We could have Andersen & Zagar!
  10. Who though? Who do you have in mind? Granted Wells was a crap EL rider for Coventry & was lucky to get a PL place but he has improved since into a credible EL second string, albeit a white-liner! Any similar British rider spring to mind; someone not given that second chance?
  11. Could you name them? The ones who have progressed like Wells but been dumped?
  12. With team-building equalisation each year & rules like "only two top twenty riders" it's almost inevitabloe that no club can retain all of its assets & that some will have to be loaned or sold. Boro have been heavy-handed this year in dictating "sold" rather than "loaned" & insisting only that KL buy NKI seems justified.
  13. LOL That is Steve's weakness .......... an opinion on everything ............ made endlessly
  14. Really? Wolbert's a 9 pointer on his EL conversion!
  15. Andersen Koscuich Zengota Larsen Sundstrom North Fisher .. would be handy!
  16. OK, I'm sure you're right. Crazy that a bits & pieces part-timer like North has an EL average but Fisher who rode full-time in 2011 doesn't!
  17. True, but they're based on 12 matches ............................. or 8 if you're a ringer! So he doesn't have one yet.
  18. No, it's not. North's converted PL average is 3.89 so Boro have only 5.22 left & Fisher's 5.27 (allegedly). North's done only 11 EL matches so doesn't have an EL average.
  19. Why should they be disregarded merely based on their intentions/assumptions? Maybe Belle Vue will make offers they can't refuse????
  20. No, William too. Apparently Boro are saying he can't retire - he has to be bought by an old people's home!
  21. If Boro sign Dakota North will they request a 2012 EL average of 3.47 from 11 matches or insist on his PL conversion (like Fisher) & take 3.89!!!!!
  22. THere is an element of contradiction but 17.2.5 must be an exception to 17.2.4 if it is not to be meaningless so Fisher should be 6.02
  23. His converted PLymouth average. 5.27 is stated on the Boro website.
