They should box up tonites meet & send it to BBc or ITV & say this is GP speedway this is what your missing. 10/10 to all Bloody Brilliant. Off for a lie down.

I agree a top footie match is more expensive & is ridiculously priced so ill compare elite !! League speedway to my team bristol rovers price to get in similiar but rovers really try to attract the kids lots of under 16 s for a £1 offers etc & the stadium although not the nou camp or old trafford does not appear to be on the verge of falling apart as do most speedway stadia. Just my opinion I await the flak from those who seem to think everything is fine on planet stuck in the stone age speedway

5 live do have speedway but usually only around the cardiff GP & know darren fletcher who commentates for 5 live has done GP commentary on the radio & really likes his speedway. I can see them covering the GPs in the future but why the hell would they be interested in the elite league ,my badminton club is more professional & were rubbish

Well done tai excellent interview you are a credit to yourself ,your family & your sport. Well done my son. Will your success make any difference to the leagues in this country ? With the numbskulls who run it the answer is no.

I listen to 5 live every day & occasionally they do feature speedway even having the play offs on sports extra last year (is it on this year?). When mark loram won I bombarded 5 live with numerous texts & they eventually they mentioned the wonderful news. I guess they don't show much enthusiasm as they regard it as a minority sport but are happy to feature ladies footie ,rowing,snooker etc.

Excellent post by Mike Butler agree with all that. The sport needs major surgery & then some but will it happen NOOO !! I wrote a letter to poole pirates & somerset rebels suggesting they let in under 16s free with a paper scorecard the reply from somerset was not financially viable & as yet have had no reply from poole. Due to the cost we have taken the kids just twice this year we just can't afford to go more. Our family love the sport but the sport (league speedway)don't seem to like the fans.

The sport needs a major clear out & quick. Get a figure head rickardson ,crump ? & a person with vision & good business sense & let's start again with a blank page & sort out this sorry fiasco ,mess ,amateurish shambles. Sorry I would throw the joke book sorry rule book away & start again

I & many others have made posts on this forum re r/r ,guests etc etc bemoaning the amateurish way it makes the sport look & we have been destroyed by fans criticising our views. Well the sport stinks I'm afraid & it saddens me to see such a sorry mess. It is the titanic league.

Compare tonights meet to a world class EL meet at say poole ,one had a fabulous stadium ,was slickly run ,looked good on tv ,attractive start girls & had a good. Bit embarrassing puts our tatty ,badly run amateurish efforts to shame.

For those who are bored of watching live speedway on TV the best advice I can give is" Don't Bloody watch it turn it off then you won't be bored" The national lottery programme is on I am told it is brilliant.

WOW what a beautifully presented speedway stadium it looks top class very impressed shame about the crowd.

Personally I would like the best 16 riders in the world competing injuries etc etc permitting. No disrespect to dryml he is a lovely bloke but its no fun watching a rider struggle so badly. So I am not against picks or seeded riders if it means we have the best available. Just my opinion

So let me get this straight the reason we have crumbling stadiums ,terrible crowds ,extortionate entrance fees & a poor standard of racing is all down to the BSI ? ! Rubbish

Sorry I don't agree BSI are causing the downfall of league speedway the league is poorly run & always has been. Pains me to say it but it needs major surgery or it will cough & splutter like an asthmatic ant carrying heavy shopping into the abyss.

If Emil isn't riding you won't be watching ,GOOD what a ridiculous post. Its certainly dissapointing emil won't be there and I hope he makes a full recovery but hey the GP is on & its live speedway I can't wait.

A customer of mine was telling me about the day he went to newport and saw ivan mauger V phil crump in a golden helmet match race. Mauger made the gate (as usual) but on the 2nd lap crumpie blasted round mauger and did a wall of death up the safety fence. Apparently you could see the rubber from the tyre half way up. Wish I'd seen that as phil was my favourite rider as a kid.

Apparently size is very important according to my wife. She is hoping michael fassbender signs up for the GPs next year as he will have a distinct advantage on the run to the line.

Having watched the crash we should all be thankful its not his career over it was a truly horrific crash his leg looked like a piece of rubber. Poor lad I hope he is back healthy soon.

But why would sky want to show league speedway ? Unless its cheap to show I can't see a reason why as my daughter would see "be bothered". Just a side line we took a friend to the GP challenge at poole on the wkd for her 1 st live meet her comments were 1 expensive 2 programme too expensive but as she said you need one to follow what's going on 3 why don't they rush things along a bit as my bums getting numb. 4 stadium looks tatty. She watches all the GPs at our house and will come to cardiff next year.

Personally I am amazed sky stayed with league speedway for as long as they have. Let's be honest most pictures show a dirt track surrounded by a scruffy tarpaulin with a few cars tyres on top, A few hundred fans,a race than can take forever with restarts etc etc etc team managers and promoters giving interviews and coming across as insular knobs. Compared to the GPs the whole thing looks as if the local gypsies are running the show. Despite all that I still go I must be mad.

So harris makes 100 starts and because of his brain speed he makes 100 bad starts ? Well that's not true is it ,I would say he makes say 1 in 5 unless he has the brain speed of a dodo or me its his technique
