Questions : How much do/did sky pay per year to show league speedway ? How much did sky pay to show the GPs? Does anyone else feel embarrassed when watching some televised matches ,races that take an age to complete ,tracks that look scruffy ,racing surfaces that at best look like ploughed fields ,you would think the owners would at least try as berwick & somerset do. I love my speedway but can't see any reason why sky would continue let's all be totally honest our sport is run by people who seem to be lost in a time when stadiums were rubbish ,prices were cheap & crowds were big. This is 2013 times have changed league speedway hasn't.

Cardiff a bit pricey ?? ! Rubbish. £29 for a ticket. 4 of us £92 last year amazing value

Well really enjoyed that ,packed stadium & a cracking match. Eng 2 poland 0. What happened in the incredibly grand absolutely world class grand final ? Sorry I didn't watch it but for me this has been the most dire EL I can remember. Must be great to be a poole fan but for the rest of us a long winter awaits & our sport is in one hell of a mess

Tai deserved his world champion as I believe with the SGP is a true test. For those saying that in a one off final tai wouldn't of won well ok who would of then ? Even dryml could of had a dynamite night in a one off & ended up world champion. SGP is here to stay GOOD.

The elite league on sky comes across no better than a cycle speedway meeting. So please let's not kid ourselves the gps on tv look great the elite league looks dire. A blue tarpaulin with car tyres covers the dog track at the man utd of speedway poole well that looks really great on tv dosent it A no not really. All my opinion .

Absolutely love the GPs as do our 4 friends who apart from 1 had never been to a meet in there lives. We have taken them all to cardiff the last 2 years & they are hooked. Next year its cardiff & torun. Despite the flak thrown at BSi ,eurosport,tatum ,pearson etc etc I think the GPs are the future & if we want speedway to survive & find a bigger audience then hopefully its here to stay. Roll on new zealand.

We had our honeymoon in prague & took in the gp the year sayfutinov won as a rookie. Nice stadium ,great food ,great beer ,met most of the riders hancock & dryml an absolute delight (dryml wasn't riding )just met him in the crowd. As for the track well its big & flat like swindon & like swindon iMO dosent provide the best lines for overtaking BUT what a weekernd cracking place prague.

Did someone really post "tai will look weird naked when he is 70 " I would suggest most men with or without tattoos look pretty crap ,weird ,wrinkly naked at 70. Don't worry about it tai just live the dream son most of us would trade places any day.

F 1 drivers are about as exciting as my mother in law ,maybe they used to be but other than webber there like robots covered in ads. Not sure if the fans give a james hunt about the drivers I think you will find its mostly about the cars. F1 boredom on 4 wheels

I don't like tatoos or the ear rings BUT I am 51 & my 19 old daughter thinks I was born in the stone age ,she also thinks tai is cute & cool. Mr woffinden despite my opinions on his appearance is the future of the sport I love & amen to that as this kid is box office. I couldn't care less if he had 2 heads & was green if he can make the media take notice then great. Well dome tai take a bow son.

Middleditch & bomber are like olivier compared to the stephen hawking of speedway gary havelock ,his tone of voice makes me reach for the shot gun. Bloody awful.

All good points but I just think speedway like a lot of fans who are left just got old & didn't move with the times.

Gollob is not charismatic but when he tries he is dynamite on the track. Havelock do me a favour he has the charisma of a tortoise. Tai is charismatic my 19 year old daughter thinks he is so that's good enough for me ,ok he isn't bruce penhall YET but this kid really could be a massive shot in the arm for speedway.

Well done mr woffinden you are an absoloute credit son to your family, very impressive interview & despite what some may say you are a very charasmatic young man. British speedway dosent deserve you.

Yes I am 51 & maybe losing it a bit but as an ex marine I do keep myself fit & healthy with an active mind ,but reading on this forum that a human being thinks it is ok to cheer when another human being falls or crashes is absoloutely disgusting. I am totally shocked by these comments by people who should no better as speedway is a terribly dangerous sport & sometimes innocuous looking tumbles can result in life threatening injuries. Isn't it strange when if someone abuses another regarding there skin colour or sexual preference there is uproar yet we allow cheering when a rider crashes ,for all we know that rider could be dead. I am saddened & shocked I really am.

Bloody despise fans who laugh & cheer when a rider falls or crashes The worst incident for me just happened to be at poole when alan rossiter crashed ,I kid you not people were laughing & calling him a w***** my wife went berserk with a large gentlemen for his use of foul language he told her to f*** off so my wife picked up his pristine programme & tore it into a million pieces & threw it in the air like confetti. The sad thing about that day way rossiter never rode again.

Very uncomfortable for me reading all the bile thrown by various speedway fans ???!!! On this forum. Pretty nasty stuff & I am surprised its allowed. On to tonite very very drawn out again ,some good racing but brum need some divine intervention.

In answer to the question NO. The gps are superb watching live & on the box well done to all involved & believe you get a true champion.

Well done for giving the talksport burkes a damn good thrashing. Whilst over on 5 live which I listen to every day not a mention of tai or speedway. Maybe them in charge should be bombarding the radio / tv but alas its left to us. I did text 5 live but nothing.

The GPs have been great & every year the product has improved. The elite league has been rubbish & getting worse every year. Can anyone honestly say all is fine & we should just carry on as we are ? Just reading the posts it appears just a couple of poole fans feel this way but surely anyone with a modicum of sense knows that the time is up a massive change is needed NOW.
