  1. The last time we were loads of points down to Edinburgh in a KO Cup tie in 2011 I believe, I never even considered that we would pull it back, but I was wrong and it was a fantastic performance. This time, I can't see the Tigers even winning on the night. Edinburgh are just so confident and we are so low on confidence and just not ready for the Monarchs yet. Hope I'm wrong.
  2. Well said. For entertainment at Owlerton Richard Hall is the man.
  3. Think the promotion will be aware of compton's average. Would be good to have him at reserve but it depends on who else signs for the tigers. Would accommodate nick morris as first priority.
  4. Just for the record, Richard Hall's scores in the first 6 meetings of last season, against premier league opposition were 11+2,9,8,15,10+2 and 8+1.He then was injured in his first poor meeting at Berwick. He is brilliant to watch at Owlerton. I enjoy watching entertaining riders.
  5. Would be a great team to watch at Owlerton with Stead, Morris, Roynon and Hall, especially with a racers track. Rich did start last season in fine form. Think we do need good reserves so maybe it wouldn't fit with that wish.
  6. . Correct but the original post to which i was referring was about Sheffield changing to wed night thus being able to sign Nick Morris.
  7. Yep sounds good to me. Then got to keep faith with Albin and Koppe after persevering with them last year.Add Andre Compton and see what you got left to play with.
  8. In fairness to Richard Hall,2013 might just have been his year had he stayed injury free. His first six scores last year against premier league opposition were 11+2,9,8,15,10+2 and 8+1 before he got injured.
  9. The Tigers might not be able to match the Witches record of having got at least one point from every away meeting but we certainly got two at Glasgow. Watch out for Ricky Wells. Beware the Tigers.
  10. It all depends on how Facu does. If he has a decent bike then confident the Tigers can win.
  11. Just got back from Newcastle. Agree with some of your views. Right about Ricky and Richard lawson and Joe. Too early to judge Adam. Just done 4 meetings in 4 nights. Give him a chance. Who knows what hally would have scored. Facu and damion tried hard and got better as the evening went on. Disappointing and not very exciting meeting.
  12. Good meeting, but worth going just for heat 15 alone. If you couldn't go, buy the dvd to see Richard Hall back to his brilliant best round Owlerton. Fantastic effort to come from the back to take both Worrall and Robson. All the Tigers gave it a good go. Impressed with Richard Lawson after a slow start. If only Facu could gate. His efforts from the back were great to watch. Ricky had a good meeting. Adam was on the pace and will soon be up there with the heat leaders. Bit more hopeful of a good showing on Sunday now. Up the Tigers.
  13. Looking forward to this one. We need a big lead to take to brough park. I still get nightmares after last years capitulation. Up the Tigers.
  14. We'll it was a brave attempt to get the meeting on. Shame as both sides keen to for it to go ahead. Still, the burgers and chips in the stadium were very nice as usual. Fingers crossed for tomorrow night.
  15. Think Backless has summed it up perfectly. The management are entitled to be annoyed with such unhelpful comments.
  16. Sorry for only getting excited in the later heats. Not much passing early on. Another fine team performance to come back the way we did.Congratulations on your point.
  17. Listen, if the tractor makes for racing of that excellence then surely that's a good thing for speedway fans. Richard and Simon's overtakes on opposite sides of the track were breathtaking. We wouldn't have won without Jake Knight taking points off Chris Mills. Another fine team performance.
  18. Just glad Ricky Wells has signed. Think he'll have a big season. So we've ended up with the only 3 riders to emerge with any credit from the embarrassing cup defeat at Newcastle. Roll on march.
  19. Would be good to get Ricky wells back. He was our best away performer last year. I'm sure he will improve his average significantly. Looks like an entertaining team so far. Will go home and away whenever I can. Up the Tigers.
  20. Just watched Richard Hall-Tiger 2012 DVD. Excellent viewing. Really enjoyed it.
  21. Well I enjoy watching speedway at Owlerton. Enjoyed last year and will support the Tigers this year. We'll win most of our home meetings and should be entertaining. Don't get this negative stuff. Need to get behind the team and stop the sniping.
  22. I don't get all this negative stuff. I like speedway and enjoy the racing at Owlerton. Sheffield is my team and I will support them and attend whenever I can home and away. Wouldn't dream of staying at home cos I didn't agree with the team selection. Up the Tigers.
  23. Well said Elephant man. Stead, Wells and Hall with a good A.N.Other would be just the job.
