I see, according to the Star,Sheffield have managed to bring April forward to next month, perhaps they could reverse the whole season, then we could work our way up from bottom to equal with everybody else.

Worry is, if Wells does sign on a deal he's not entirely happy with, he may not give 100% on the track.

Sheffield are on a tight budget so will probably run with just a 6 man team.

Disagree SK,we've hosted Belle Vue the last two seasons, time for a change. We're against Scunny & Leicester in the league cup, so defeats already loom there, instant exit from the first trophy on offer. We need a win on opening night. Only if it's fixed, aka Leicester opener.

What would fans like as the opening fixture, management have suggested it will be a challenge, but who against ? Let's have a change from Belle Vue, it's good to see Elite league riders at Owlerton, but we definitely need to get off to a genuine, winning start. I'd also rule out Scunthorpe & Leicester, both too strong, would probably stuff us, so maybe Redcar, who now include Tigers favourite, Skiddy.

Re the report in todays Sheffield Star,what a roundabout way of announcing Richard Hall is signed ! Time to forget Wells & sign Dakota North, much more potential for points & excitement, & same starting average.

Perhaps riders/teams should be offerered incentives over and above their normal pay rates. eg,win the match=bonus,up your average=bonus(perhaps monthly), win a trophy=bonus, & maybe, in my dreams,win the league=big bonus.All this may even encourage the team to work as a team.

There's got to be a compromise between Sheffield & Wells, Sheffield probably have the upper hand at the moment as no other team can accomodate him.

I think your crowd estimates are a little on the low side, if they were only 300-400 last season, I dont think they would have seen the season out, let alone run in 2013.
