CONSIDERING I was the first (and only) to mention it, and being closely involved with the sport, it was very much not speculation. It's confirmed now by the official source, so that proves I was correct.
-
NERMARK in the team, just like I confirmed on 26 January on this thread.

CONFIRMATION that Nico wont be in the Birmingham line up this season. http://bit.ly/1e4DhvQ
-
DANIEL Nermark will be announced this week, completing the Brummies' side.
-
INCORRECT link. Fixtures were there but not now. Can only assume error and announcement is today / tomorrow..!
-
FIXTURES announced here: http://www1.skysports.com/watch/speedway-on-sky EDIT - page empty now.
-
FIRST meeting will be Belle Vue vs. Swindon (may change).

NOT his biggest fan - for various reasons - but wish the guy well.
-
HOW did I know that someone would mention this, on the day or day after. I only shared the information I had.
-
FOR what it's worth, just been told SKY should confirm by Wednesday 18th and will have some VT features appearing on their Sky Sports News Channel- not sure if Flagrag can confirm, but this fits in with Phil's earlier comment too about being before Christmas. Also, Flagrag - is there any end of season review planned?
-
KENNETT is the favoured and most likely option.
-
LIKE others on here, I was told Friday was the day. As both and Phil and Flagrag mentioned, the delay is most likely PR/Legal related. I know a deal is done so people should not panic. I am guessing some will like it, others wont.
-
THERE is also a large company interested in a sponsorship deal - yet to clarify if this has been signed yet though.
-
LUNCH time Friday I've been told.. Obviously I don't know for sure, but in my opinion SKY are back. They've certainly negotiated, that much is true.
-
SADLY, the actual running order in Speedway is very much FRIENDS first rather than professionalism. As for the facts about the Brum website, we both have differing thoughts on it so I'll shelve that topic going forward. PS: thanks for viewing my profile... Strangely we know each other off here, so it made me smile

THINK you'll find that not ALL clubs are forced to use AP Media Services it's just Birmingham. I believe Rowe is very pally with Andy Povey as are the Drury's and Pearson. Coincidence?
-
WOULDN'T read to much into Birmingham apologising to Andy Povey. My understanding is that they were forced to use his services and if they hadn't apologised then they wouldn't be having a new website at all.

BEN BARKER will be first 'signing'.

East Of England Showground 2014 (open Meetings Possible?)
SGP replied to skthecat's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
MAYBE Tony Mole would like to take over at the EoES. -
AS I have said for a couple of months, SKY would not consider any new deal until the BSPA provided clarity on what product they would be offering. Now that the AGM is over, I expect an announcement very soon.
-
WITH Luty gone, and now the commercial manager it seems, there isn't much 'management' left. One can only ponder on the next direction.
-
CAN'T just assume it's SKY who are to potentially provide TV coverage...

TWO sides to every story...

No Sky Speedway = A New Opportunity
SGP replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
CLUB photographers and videographers must sign a license agreement form which has to be signed off by the BSPA, the [club] promoter and GSI. Any prevention of 'clips' is due to this license which is NOT signed by SKY directly; though they do have to protect their intellectual properties too etc. If any of you are interested in seeing the general content of this form, then I can provide a link. -
No Sky Speedway = A New Opportunity
SGP replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
BT Sport is very much a viable option, based on what I am aware of, as is Eurosport who it seems would tender the OB facilities. Of course though, most of this depends on the BSPA AGM. The key thing is, and as everybody else is aware of, teams are reluctant to build without knowing if they have a TV deal budget and is yet more reason as to why a new deal should've been sorted long before this stage.
