  1. I agree, although it does seem strange that both tracks are two of the biggest and yet neither side has historically performed that well at either place (whilst accepting of course they are completely different shape) Incidentally, I would put Lakeside before Swindon as your easiest 3 points!
  2. We get used to it at Blunsdon. The hot dog stall on bend two comes under fire most weeks!
  3. Decent shift put in by Peter Kildemand at Mad's testimonial meeting today.
  4. I did say however that Hans is still a number one. He definitely isn't the Hans of old. Ask any Panthers fan. They will tell you how aggressive and uncompromising he used to be. I saw him get passed at Blunsdon by many riders who years ago wouldn't have had a sniff. You have got to hope there are no 'personality clashes' and 'internal differences' at your club this year as Hans is very influential.......Gary Havelock......ahem....cough cough.....
  5. Coincidentally, both were dreadful gaters, certainly at Blunsdon anyway.
  6. Best of British this year anyway. Love the Peterborough track and will miss my visits there with the Robins.
  7. Its all about opinion tiberon. From where I sit, Swindon have potential to improve in their top 5. Arguably you could say Coventry are on the downward spiral. Andersen is certainly still a number one, but even at Swindon he wasn't really the 'Hans of old' single figure scores started creeping in, especially last year. Is Bomber really going to cut the mustard this year? Two poor seasons in a row now averaging a really disappointing 7 points per meeting...isn't he in his thirties now? Fisher? Is he also in decline? Hansen....remains to be seen, been here before and not pulled up any trees. Sure you have a good reserve pairing, but I would put the Bees on par with Swindon, battling for a play off place.
  8. Clearly appealing to someone who recognises their partner or perhaps their partners jacket and who they know would do this type of thing.....method behind the madness.
  9. Yeah what else is there to do tonight? Almost celebrated the six Nations championship tonight Blu....almost. I won't mention your team.
  10. Sorry, got distracted, the track is crap....DH out!!
  11. Now now crumpie....you know Robins fans are too busy on their own thread (100 odd pages isn't it?) at the moment to rise to the bait....
  12. Can't agree that the Lions team looks good Shirl. No way is Doyley a number one, even in this watered down league. Mads will be Mads (inconsistent) and for me there is no real fire power in the 'engine room'. Happy to be shot down at the end of the season, but battling with Birmingham for the wooden spoon for Leicester I'm afraid folks.
  13. Don't know about that Lewy. I have seen several from one particular Devils fan in the not too distant past. Plymouth is a great little set up with a super little track. They deserve some success because there is no doubt a decent fan base there. I like the look of Barker as the main rider with back up from Jensen, Newman and Davies, but reckon they will fall short lower down in the side. Mid table finish at best. Looking forward to making at least a couple of trips down this season.
  14. Why is it a poor team if Davies is included?
  15. I am a big fan of 'the kid'. From his early days at Glasgow/Coventry, I have watched him develop slowly but surely. In my opinion, he has pretty much everything in his locker to become a 9 point EL rider, and eventually at GP star. He is fearless, has a good head on his shoulders, is astute on the track way beyond his years, and above all he is a winner. Nick will be fine even without a PL track this year. Injuries aside, I expect him to add at least a point on last years average.
  16. Most? Really? Have you been reading the Leicester thread throughout this winter?
  17. Can you believe these people??? Mind you, not surprising is it. Leicester Ci ty were top of the league recently by a significant margin and the fans were booing the team!! Perhaps you guys should consider the anxiety that fans from Reading, Newport, Halifax, Bradford, Wimbledon, Oxford, Hackney and numerous others have suffered in recent times. Why bother going if all you do is moan? The racing at Swindon is at times fairly bland, but that's the nature of the sport. Unless you are lucky to be regulars at brilliant tracks like Kings Lynn, Peterborough, Somerset, Scunthorpe and Sheffield, then you have to accept that speedway in general produces one or two good races per meeting. Support your local track.
  18. Doesn't Danny King get rides in Poland though? Please!!
