  1. Sid, I think the Blunsdon track has changed over the years (several attempts have been made to flatten the banking) but that aside, I remember Ashby regularly driving up the inside of an opponent and executing a perfect pass. Nowadays I can't think of many that ever pass up the inside. Bomber Harris maybe? Nick Morris once or twice last year. In my opinion, there's not the passing there used to be, although I will say, its still one of the fairer tracks still around.
  2. But even King will be mediocre at best. I hate to say it, but there is no way Birmingham will see out the season with this side.
  3. I reckon the straights are too long at Blunsdon. Would much rather the more oval shaped tracks similar to Somerset, Peterborough, Sheffield and Scunthorpe.
  4. Could you see the bogs sidders? They were ancient then!
  5. Pedersen scored 32 points in two meetings two years ago for Birmingham. Think he won Kilby's testimonial meeting the same year and was on the rostrum in the ELRC at the end of the same season. I reckon he's an excellent choice and probably the best guest for Batch we could have got. Unless of course he's had a chat with Ford.... ....only kidding now...
  6. Wolves will be there or thereabouts come play off time. With Woffinden and Pawlicki and Proctor as support, they will be a tough nut to crack at Monmore. I am sure as they did last night, they will pick up the odd point(s) away from home too which will make them contenders for a top 4 position.
  7. Morris is a Swindon asset so will be riding for them against Coventry on Thursday.
  8. You finished your spat with blueboy yet Crazy? Almost as entertaining as Steve0 and Crump99!
  9. Cheers Orlovski. Good point in the circumstances. Lakeside turning into a decent away track for us. Never thought I'd see that!
  10. A light in the back straight bogs? Sheer luxury! Supporters have visited our back straight bogs and never been seen again!
  11. Behind the charade of silliness, Starman does occasionally talk some sense....probably after attacking those grapes you talk about
  12. Most of the Robins seem to go ok at Lakeside, although I can't see us retuning to Wiltshire with anything tomorrow. It is rare to see any visiting side win the first meeting of the season and especially at Purfleet. Can see Bech hitting a big score. Wouldn't be surprised if he gets a full house.
  13. For the record, I live in North Wiltshire and we have had two massive showers (hailstones included) since 4pm. Not sure what the weather is doing in Swindon but even right now, the skies are leaden. Perhaps Cookie can come on here and give a track curator's perspective. He is usually very informative.
  14. It's nothing to last years temperatures orlovski. 2 degrees at Blunsdon. With the wind chill factor, positively Siberian.
