  1. Yeah right, there is no way you would have been to Newcastle today KKS. Devon was hard enough to find when you visited Somerset recently...
  2. Have I missed something? I thought both Kennett and Fricke are already fixed up with clubs?
  3. Interestingly, Eddie Kennett classes Swindon as his favourite track in the Elite league....
  4. No offence PT.....keep taking the tablets though
  5. I visited the EOES on a fairly regular basis a couple of years ago. There is no way they had anything like 1000 fans in the stadium. A half full grandstand and a handful of fans on the back straight. Poole have been the best supported in recent years. Swindon were averaging around 1,200 the year before last.
  6. What about Norbert Koscuich? He would have been a decent shout to replace Klindt surely? At least he would score points at home! Always does well at Blunsdon.
  7. Good to see Olly Allen firing tonight. Although as Statman said to me tonight, his invitation to take Edward Kennett for a drink in the Oak Tree clubhouse in Heat 11 came a few heats too early! Earned Olly a word in his ear from Ref Dave Robinson about use of elbows etc! How disappointing were the Rockets? 9 times New Zealand champion Jason Bunyan was a pale shadow of the rider I remember. Kennett flattered to deceive and Jason Garrity struggled all night. The Rebels are shaping up to a decent looking side. Todd Kurtz will drop down to reserve with Charles Wright replacing him in the new green sheet averages.
  8. Trouble is Crazy, its not going to make much difference.
  9. I liked the look of the Pirates team in March. What price on them going the whole season unbeaten? Smart won't be there long, so they will strengthen further no doubt.
  10. Long season ahead if you want to beat 52 meetings this season!
  11. I am sure your comment is tongue in cheek Triple. H. Sure he's fast, and he's definitely stylish, but there's a long way to go before he settles into that 'arm chair'.....
  12. Cracking meeting last night. The track took a while to settle down, but once it did, the racing was superb. Dryml and Ostergaard looked good all night (apart from one poor ride from Ales) and really mixed it with the Rebels. One or two races were simply breathtaking. Sometimes three abreast, sometimes the lead changing hands two or three times. You read on this forum about poor racing at some tracks. Believe me, if you want an evenings entertainment, then the OTA is the place to be!
  13. I'll take PK to beat Zagar, probably just the once. Batch can beat Nicholls and surely Klindt can defeat Palm Toft?
  14. I thought the Rebels looked a solid team last night. Even with Ollie Allen suffering bike gremlins and Nick Morris breaking the tapes, it was still a thumping win against a rusty looking Newcastle outfit. Brady Kurtz showed what he can do from the tapes but also coming from behind. Some scintillating courageous passes. What a draw he will be for the crowds this year. Interesting to see a very 'pumped up' James Wright taking to the track after the meeting.
  15. I reckon they held it together predominantly because they had Smolinski banging in double figure scores from reserve until mid-summer.
