  1. Likewise Leigh Adams. Fantastic to watch at Swindon, but equally superb at Lakeside.
  2. Why not? Still young, lightening from the gate, experience of all the EL tracks and committed to British speedway. Certainly based on his time with Swindon and Coventry (where he was very popular)
  3. Play off contenders I reckon. Good solid line up. Beatable at Brandon though. Especially by the Robins!
  4. Which track though? He scored a 21 point maximum at Lakeside!
  5. Mads would make a terrific middle order rider. Capable nowadays from his experience gained at Peterborough, KingsLynn and Leicester of posting double figure scores at most tracks.
  6. I met Ulrich last season at Somerset. Thoroughly decent bloke. Fanatical Manchester United fan too!
  7. Reckon old stripers might have his rod out there......
  8. Howarth has signed for Swindon. Incidentally, the Bees look good so far I reckon.
  9. Kaspraczak didn't let Coventry down? He let them down big time with several attrocious performances.
  10. Yep agreed, all good fun and some interesting thoughts.
  11. Guys, isn't it a little unfair to continue to shoot down Starman's opinions? Sure this a forum for healthy discussion and debate. Starman is entitled to his views and opinions without other posters taking the piss and becoming personal. I ain't no champion of the thought police but give the guy a break. There are many posters on here I don't agree with, but would never throw insults at them. There are forum rules.
  12. What a treat to watch Jonsson every week on the Lakeside track. I've seen Leigh Adams ride that track supremely well, but Andreas I'm sure will be equally superb. Not sure about him and Ben Barker riding together though! As others have said, a major coup to have him back riding on these shores.
  13. Didn't most of us say the same about Batch returning to Swindon colours? Never forgive him, spoilt brat, etc... Ward or Holder despite their massive allegiance to Poole, both would be huge crowd pullers. Whilst we are talking about potential number ones, let's hope Rosco doesn't pin his hopes on Kaspraczak. Class act on his day, but sure as eggs are eggs would let us down.
  14. Matt Ford indicated during an interview at Somerset during the play off final against Edinburgh that Kurtz would be doubling up with the Rebels and the Piirates
  15. He's probably looking at his Twitter account Crazy.
  16. When Matt Ford was interviewed he indicated he would be.
  17. His last bend win against Eastbourne at home to secure all the points and after a poor meeting at Coventry finally making a terrific start to get a vital 5-1 for the Robins in heat 12 ensuring all three away points are two particular good memories I have of Steady. Got a lot of stick for some of his away performances did Simon, but was always a whole hearted trier. One of the most popular riders in recent times at Blunsdon.
  18. It must be something in the water. Leicester FC were top of the championship table for a short period last season. Even then their fans booed them off the pitch!
  19. Agree with what's been said so far on this thread. Historically however, riders who opt out of the EL so as they can "concentrate their efforts on the GP" soon come back pretty quickly normally saying the EL "keeps them sharp". Good luck to Tai, I hope this decision brings him the world crown again.
  20. I think I read that Hans improved his average at Coventry. That said, the harsh reality in my opinion is that sadly he is on the decline and would be a huge risk as a number one. Sure, he's still a winner and at times as feisty as ever, but he gets beaten far too often by lesser riders nowadays. I would prefer Holder as our number one if available. Yes he is a Poole asset, but he would deliver home and away. He has stated he likes the Blunsdon track and would put a few on the attendance.
  21. Love it when he comes to Somerset. The pantomime villain. Always controversial and good entertainment.
