  1. We're the Racers at Smallmead at that time?
  2. Why on earth would you think that? Also took some newbies, one of them also needed to use the loo, but I advised him to walk twice the distance and use the home straight bogs. At least I saw him again later.... That was very funny starry!
  3. Poole will be in the play offs, guaranteed. They are a solid team throughout. Gomolski is struggling, but potentially could come up with decent scores home and away. Well worth persevering with.
  4. Great to see a class number one in Robins colours again. Ward looked very quick and as in control as I have ever seen him at Blunsdon. The good thing is, there are at least another five matches to watch him in action around the Abbey. Maybe Rosco can tempt Darcy to lead the Robins next season with a new stadium and a new era. Good to see him driving down his average for next season though
  5. Riders can still be impressive even despite their score. For example on Friday night at Somerset, Morten Risager only scored 3 points but was in the mix in almost every race, at times coming from the back but over cooking it slightly, then fighting back again to challenge later in the race. Similarly, Ollie Greenwood scored only 2 points, but one of them was achieved by keeping the experienced Sam Simota behind him for all four laps. It may be that impressive is the wrong adjective, possibly combative, but either way, entertainment is provided!
  6. Nevertheless, the entertainment and the crowds will increase
  7. Good to see last year's Swindon fan is still up on the statistics of our riders.
  8. And You are right, Nick Morris tried his absolute hardest in every race. Very brave and committed rider.
  9. Plymouth played their part in another excellent meeting at the OTA. Good atmosphere and a decent size crowd. Fortunately the grey skies circling overhead stayed away. For the Devils, Newman, Todd Kurtz and to a lesser extent Ryan Fisher were good value. The Rebels missed Charles Wright (bruising to wrist) from his crash at Redcar. Josh regained the speed which has deserted him of late, Starke was superb entertainment with his never say die attitude and Leigh Lanham scrapped for every point. Nick Morris as expected proved an inspired guest for Brady. Rode well with Lanham on a couple of occasions. His night came to a abrupt end after a horrifying looking crash with Fisher. Both riders giving their all in heat 13, crossed the finishing line almost locked together and then tangled spectacularly. Both machines hurtled into the fence collecting Morris who went backwards into the air fence. Both riders eventually walked back to the pits, but The young Aussie was taken to Hospital with a cut arm and possible concussion. His crash helmet taking a severe battering. Rebels look good for the return at the St Boniface. Lee Trigger being bitterly disappointed with his reserves and Simota in particular.
  10. Young Nick was involved in a horrendous looking crash with Ryan Fisher at Somerset whilst guesting for the Rebels. Both riders crossed the finishing line almost together as Fisher tried to squeeze past Morris. There was then the inevitable coming togetherr before they were flung off of their machines, both bikes cartwheeling spectacularly into the fence and landing either on or close to the stricken riders. Fisher was almost immediately on his feet but very dazed. Nick stayed down a long time but walked very gingerly back to the pits. Latest report was that he was taken to Hospital with a cut arm and possibly concussion. His crash helmet was badly damaged too.
  11. Looks fetching in red..... I'm sure he will take a couple of rides to get dialled into the Abbey, but I have to say, he is the most exciting signing since Leigh Adams was re signed for the Elite league. This short spell at Swindon will I am sure do him good, and hopefully avert his eyes from the dark side of the moon.
  12. About the same for me. I go most weeks when work allows. Racing never disappoints.
  13. The right decision. Ward was an absolute must. Zengi is flying.
  14. Well, even the forum is rocking at the anticipation of the signing of Darcy Ward. Almost 300 people checking in....
  15. Got the crystal ball out again Gater?
  16. Good signing by Rosco, and the right thing to do. Blunsdon will be packed, revenue will be excellent, and the Robins will now be serious contenders for the title. Welcome Darcy, can't wait to see the best rider at the Abbey since Leigh Adams and the fastest since Zagar in his prime.
  17. John street in the town centre used to have great chips! Went back a few months ago and the shop was a multi- storey car park!
