Topsey turvy season ahead for the Robins. After some poor performances so far, this unpredictable team of racers will probably do the business. Swindon by 6. -
Guess my gut feeling is looking accurate at the minute. Two excellent away wins for the Wolves so far.

Premier League V Elite League
EnglishRoundabout replied to Shale Searcher's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
There's a fair few Poole fans every week at Somerset. And a good bunch they are too. -
I think this team is reliant on big progress from Morris and Tungate. So far that hasn't happened. Tonight showed that Swindon will provide plenty of entertainment this season and will be good value for money. Rossiter is right, there will be good displays and poor displays this season. Whether that will be enough to grab 4th place, I'm not so sure. I reckon your team will be that team!

Ok thanks. Always enjoyed his combative style of riding. What an asset he could be for a PL team.

Enlighten me please. Is he back to ride again in Britain?

I'm sure Huckenbeck will be decent replacement for the under performing Batchelor

Is there really 19 pages of this? Still it keeps me entertained until the speedway and footie comes on! -
See you can do it..... A reasoned debate without resorting to abuse..... Mind you this particular debate didn't involve Starman2006!

Poole Pirates Vs Lakeside Hammers 6/4/16
EnglishRoundabout replied to Shaleshifter's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Not too difficult to predict that one. If one was to look at the Elite league in for example 2007, my team Swindon had the likes of Adams, Richardson, Ullamek, Gedjje and Chrznowski in the line up. Teams actually has 3 heat leaders then. Since then, pretty much every year, the league has become more and more diluted. Leicester are a case in point. Terrible looking side. However, if you examine the Poole line up this season, there is no doubt this side would have held their own in the 2007 league. Sadly, there are no other teams that could. I think this tells you loud and clear who will win this year's title. Probably with a record number of points and remaining unbeaten throughout. -
Nice body swerve!

Poole to be nearer 60 than 50 by the finish. -
Wolves - Swindon 4/4/16 Rained Off
EnglishRoundabout replied to A ORLOV's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I know it's still early days, but I guess I was expecting Nick Morris to be banging in double figure scores from the off this season. If Nick doesn't improve from last season, there is far too much pressure on Josh and Tungate. The loss of North is significant and completely changes the make up of the side from certain top 3 to likely mid table finish. -
Wolves - Swindon 4/4/16 Rained Off

Sadly, I fear another heavy loss here for Swindon. Even though Josh, Charles and Rohan all looked quick at Somerset on Friday. I just don't get the right vibes with this year's line up. Hope I'm wrong. Wolves to win by 20.
