Cardiff Grand Prix
Kevan replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Good God!!!!!, I bet your real fun at Xmas. After a month of Girlball on the TV it was great to see a man's sport. Well done to Jarek Hampel who kept his cool and professionalism in his interview after Nicki turned left on him and almost put him in the top tier, which is more than can be said for Holder/Crump and Pedersen/Andersen but what the hell it made good TV.. -
What Do You Expect On Thursday

Thought Wuffy went well tonight and can be very proud of his contribution. Has Scott Nicholls been to the Nicki Pedersen speech therapy classes 'ya know' -

Excellent post, as you say Nicki didn't make the decisions that priviledge goes to that oversized lump of lard that was disguised as a ref, and I too thought it totally out of order to cheer when Nicki fell off, I am not a fan of NP by any means and don't think he should of even qualified for the semi's but luck was on his side until his fall which did look quite nasty and painful and he certainly didn't deserve the cheers for falling, for getting up when possibly injured and clearing the track yes but not for his fall. Well done Crumpy. I certainly wouldn't like to be bomber at the moment as he is gonna hurt big time, but what a guy. -
Thanks for posting the picture guys, I just had the engineer around to remove the alarms on the house and have instead stuck that picture on all the doors and windows to keep the burglars away, far more effective and cheaper too.

Absoloutly no doubt whatsoever Nicholls blatently stuck Bomber in the fence, he even looked at him before he done it.

Excuse Swede for being thick but if Bjarne finishes in the top 8 and automatically get a place in next years series, does Lubos get promoted into the series by virtue of finishing 4th in the qualifier?.

New England Manager?
Kevan replied to stevehone's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I think we should look at keeping Middlo as manager but adding in an assistant manager in the form of Floppy Norris, there is no one more passionate about his country and he knows the ins and outs of getting the engines to work. -
TBH Poland had to stretch the rules the way they did to keep up with the Danes who's extra team member (Ole Olsen) stretched the rules himself by having the track doctored and made slick so the gating tart Danes could get an upper hand. Let's face it EVERY team cheated last night in one way or another but wasn't it great to see Anderson smacked arse face at the end .

World Cup - Vojens Sat 14 July
Kevan replied to Mad Mitch's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
That has got to be the worst world cup round I have ever seen, utter crap -
Mr Shovler, £10k is more like what Chas'n'Dave had to PAY to appear last night
-
Only the Times could refer to Bomber as a David Cameron lookalike, perhaps after the way he rode last night he should be made Prime Minister
-
I have never been a fan of the racing at Cardiff but tonight just blew me away, the best GP I have ever seen and for Bomber to win just made it absoloutly awesome. The first time I saw Bomber ride at Trelawney I said he was a star of the future and boy is he a star. Be Proud of yourself Chris because the rest of Britain is.

What a joke that ref is, Jonsson just rides through Hans knocks his chain off and that dick lets the race go on.

I am really saddend by the accidents that have happened this season, I love speedway for not only it's thrills but the friendly banter that goes on between rival fans and the way which the riders get involved with the fans, unfortunatley that makes it really hard to take when one of our riders is taken from us in the way Kenny has been. Rest in Peace Kenny and god bless you.
-
That's fair enough I personally thought that the controversy added very much to the entertainment and will ensure a few good crowds when Peterborough meet Coventry, but I still think that the Jonsson/Pedersen clash was a master display of how to stay on a bike in extreme circumstances
