Top 8 as it stands, with Pedersen, Iversen, Sayfutdinov and G Laguta would be the perfect line-up in my eyes. Probably won't happen.

I still find speedway jolly entertaining. Although I must add, if Nige and Kelv ever walked away, then I would follow..

The riders are too busy congratulating each other to bother about acknowledging the fans. Years ago if 2 riders had a great race they would shake hands and that would be that. Now you get race winners fist bumping and high fiving opponents they hadn't even seen during the race! It's all got too 'chummy' for my liking.

That's right. Briggo wanted to help him win the 86 world final, and gave him a right rollocking after Kelvin out trapped Nielsen but went too wide on the first corner and Hans cut back under him. He'd have been in a run-off for the title with Hans and Jan O if he'd won that race.

Great signing by Poole, always enjoy watching Lindback ride. you can't blame him for wanting to make a few quid in Britain, after apparently being owed money by his Swedish club.

Mark used to clock faster times in after meeting rides than Malcolm Simmons did during the main match in 86. Amazing talent. That was the only downside to dropping to NL in 88, having to lose Roland Danno, who everybody loved. Does anyone know how he's doing these days?

I reckon he'll be dropping a fair few more f-bombs between now and the end of the season, as he gets ever more frustrated at seeing his world title slip away. Still, never mind, eh.
