  1. Unless of course they decide to adopt the draft.
  2. You can never predict how far a rider will go. I've seen lots of young riders who seemed naturals and destined for greatness but they just stopped growing as riders, others seemed to struggle and look awkward at the start but managed to go on for years and even do pretty well in some cases. We have a much better youth set up now and it must eventually pay off. The three mentioned have certainly made a good start and I wish them well.
  3. "I was told"? STFU you whining B****** He is allowed to do that if he's leading.
  4. I agree, call it the gold cup or something and make the top side race the fourth.
  5. BV versus Cheats Select. I imagine that the vast majority either support BV or are totally p'd off by the whole farce.
  6. I think it has to revert to being semi-professional in this country. If that means some riders quitting and some clubs folding because they can't run on a weekend or Friday night, so be it, it would be better than the whole thing completely folding.
  7. Dr Middleditch then smiled, winked and had a wee cough.
  8. I honestly think North would have ridden if Middleditch had asked him to.
  9. This is a fiddle (unfortunately one we have come to expect). Edward Kennett for all his shortcomings is a much better prospect than an off-form North. If it's not a Speedway matter they should have to use a junior.
  10. I didn't mention the riders doing it. So how come that so many riders use the excuse that they need extra everything to ride here. Are they all liars?
  11. In Poland and Sweden you can have the same mechanics driving to all meetings, which are on fixed days and which pay more money and are on tracks that are more likely to be holding top meetings or resemble those tracks. You already know that so why keep asking it?
  12. I hope the faith in Jonsson proves to be right, to be honest I've been surprised he kept his place at Lakeside.
  13. I would give the top starting FT rider an average of 4 and the other one an average of 3. I would revert back to the old format and let them take their chances, such as Garrity might well end up as heat leader. I would still give them a guaranteed status for one year and then scrap the FT. After that I would have a rule that each club has two under 25 British riders every season.
  14. There is another side to this, Richard gets on well with team mates and management, whereas Richie ........ Lakeside need strength at the top.
  15. Well done Chris Harris! Maybe not the best rider but certainly the best man. Marcel must be delighted.
  16. It's forecast to be fine for the rest of the evening, covers? The patience at SKY must be at snapping point by now.
  17. They won't if they are under the control of Marcel, he isn't just going to hand one over and let someone do as they wish with it, that's why they still have their own equipment alongside, It's just that Chris has created a bad reputation regarding engines and PK is on his last legs so to speak, it needs someone with more credibility.
  18. Well Robert Lambert had the loan of one, what is really needed is a couple of top riders to start using them, that would soon see the demand soar. Harris (whose shortcomings were exposed last night) and the ageing Karlsson, won't persuade potential buyers but a couple of riders winning things around Europe will.
  19. My thoughts (sickened by the news) now go to our brilliant crop of young riders, their last meeting at Rye was rained off and now this, hopefully some more fixtures can be added for them.
  20. I hope he serves them well but they certainly look to have a weak tail end.
