  1. The most important thing is to sign riders who are on the up. The richer clubs do that and compete for the title, the rest are just making up the numbers, whoever they get at reserve.

  3. I think a good number are already fixed up, just not announced yet.
  4. If he can do that on a flat tracker, I think he'd find a Speedway bike a doddle.
  5. Well just put it this way, I used to go to two or three meetings a week, now I can't usually afford to go to one. As pensioners go I'm not a poor man, but I have to prioritise and I don't smoke or drink. My logic wasn't contradictory, if Speedway got bigger crowds they'd probably feel confident in putting the prices up even more.
  6. They get bigger crowds and can get away with it.
  7. I'm an old person, been watching since the 1950s, these days I can't afford to go to many meetings and I can't afford to go legit with BT. Removing pensioner discounts could arguably be fair, but so could dropping the prices for everyone. Speedway is far too expensive for what it is, if it couldn't manage on lower prices, it should cut it's own running costs or go part-time.
  8. Swindon Speedway: 2016 season tickets on sale, By Admin Nov 18, 2015, 10:42 Email this article Printer friendly page Swindon have unveiled their season ticket details ahead of the 2016 season. "The Robins are gearing up for an exciting year as they move to their new state-of-the-art stadium – and fans can now ensure they will be part of it." Well that's what it says, buy a season ticket and be part of a new season in a new stadium.
  9. It certainly is great. I've been very impressed with our young riders and the improving set-up for them. Well done to Bomber and let's hope his fine example inspires other riders to do similar good deeds.
  10. Reading the link would suggest that they ARE using the new stadium to attract buyers.
  11. http://www.worldspeedway.com/artman/publish/article_32586.shtml Still on about the new stadium and selling season tickets on the strength of it, do you get your money back if they don't move?

  13. I could imagine far worse lineups than that.
  14. He's gone to Swindon (same race night). I read somewhere that he might be looking to miss the PL but I suppose that would depend on getting fixed up abroad.
  15. Exactly and Payne has only ridden for three seasons, while some of the younger number 7s have been at it as long as Tai.
  16. I'd be willing to pay the same amount as I pay to Eurosport. I don't see why I should have to abandon all my current set up and I won't. It's too expensive on my pension anyway.
  17. Surely there is a standard courtesy to enquire with the owner of the riders contract before making an offer, and not disregard agreements already made. As I said before, the money thing is making the league very predictable.
