  1. A different opinion.... http://www.speedwaygb.co.uk/index.html
  2. On the other hand, Bridger has had more retirements than the household cavalry and has probably made as many enemies. It would be nice if he has finally grown up and actually shows the talent that he once promised, someone riding round at the back waving both legs about, tends to get a bit tedious after a while.
  3. That certainly puts a downer on it and it sounds like you were there, it would be interesting to hear the views of some of the riders.
  4. It depends who is best THIS YEAR and who is best on the new track.
  5. All well and good, let's hope he doesn't **** on those who help him .... Again!
  6. I believe there was some difference. Didn't Lee decide to retire from the GB squad, while Scott withheld his services due to a dispute over the display of sponsors logos on the national racesuit? Anyway Lee might have changed his mind it's true, but unfortunately he can't.
  7. We are already at the farce stage, with R Worrall saying he's after a WC team place and the fat controller fast tracking the potentially disruptive Bridger back into the squad and inviting him to the training camp. Hadn't Richardson withdrawn from the GB squad?
  8. Only the one, but the last thing you need is someone with a bad attitude to disrupt the rest.
  9. I notice Rosco is creaming his pants about him and has included him in the GB squad. All he ever proved before, was that he wasn't really good enough, has some miracle happened, one wonders?
  10. Until he takes it upon himself to do a runner.
  11. You mean, you actually hoped for a basement side?
  12. If they use Bridger he might get them a ballet award or the most retired rider in history award. They'll be vying with Lions and Wolves for the cherished spoon.
  13. Why bother, they are unlikely to take on board any points raised. An idea for the interval entertainment could be Matej Kus strapped between two bikes (one black and white, one red and white) and then ripped to pieces while certain promoters look away and study their fingernails.
  14. Hopefully! More likely they will be the hopeless cases that Rosco always shortlists anyway.
  15. Young junior Wilkinson should progress no end after this.
  16. It's a sensible move that should do some good, my only reservation would be the number of riders included, there aren't 15 worthy of a test match place, let alone a World Cup team.
  17. A lack of co-operation between the various authorities won't help any of them in the long run.
  18. The biggest kicking for UK speedway, might well be the use of even more guests as riders are allowed to go absent to accommodate these changes, if that should prove to be the case they should only be replaceable by a junior, as an incentive to clubs to sign riders who are actually available. Could this herald the future scrapping of the EL?
  19. Depends whether the track Doctor has received a brown envelope.
  20. "Mid season" Your optimism does you credit.
  21. The current following has a high percentage of older people, who either wouldn't or couldn't pay that, and it's likely you'd have to pay even more to get those names on board. Attention needs to start on a more modest set up, you can't grow things without good roots.
  22. I think it more likely that those who respond would like to see top riders. Joe Public doesn't give a hoot. As far as "wage" goes, I have long thought that a semi-professional league, clustered around weekends (so riders can have off-track employment) was a likely future.
