  1. Cookie couldn't fit in at Edinburgh (without a lot of disruption) when Peterborough made him an offer, Branford could fit in at Redcar and isn't currently on loan to another PL club.
  2. As already mentioned, the criticism is aimed mainly at the team manager. However, if anyone should have any legitimate criticisms are they not allowed to air them?
  3. That would be OK and might bring a future signing or two. We could sometimes have F2 races for MX and grasstrack riders who weren't currently in Speedway. A stock of such bikes could be shared between all clubs and delivered to the track when appropriate.
  4. Pipe is obsessed with making changes and everyone scraped from the bottom of the barrel.
  5. There are too many clubs and too few riders. The lame duck clubs need pruning or put into the NL. One league clustered around weekend racing would allow riders to have off-track occupations. There is a need to get away from comparison to overseas leagues and the obsession with certain individual riders. Adopt the engine that Sam Ermolenko has been involved with and cut down the cost of competing, there are tyres that'll do five meetings, they should be used. Too much attention is based on the opinions of those who have a vested interest in keeping costs as high as possible. Get rid of all the Mickey Mouse ideas that try to falsify results and see riders in different teams night after night.
  6. Well you can't really judge that on just this meeting. Anyone unfamiliar might have come away thinking the same about Lindback. Do you carry on forever with those who have a proven record of failure, or do you try something different? I think it was the right selection. "Looking to the future" was meant to mean trying riders who are as good as you've got but who might learn and do better next time. I like Chris and I've been desperate for him to do better in the GPs but I fear that something inside him has been lost, the pile of engines and tuners that he's gone through over recent years, seems to suggest that, especially when others breeze past him using the same engines and tuners. It would have taken an exceptionally good side to beat the Poles in my opinion and I don't think any of our permutations can come up with that.
  7. We might well not have had such a big score from Tai and that would have evened things out if another rider had scored a few more points. We need to look to the future and Chris and Scott aint it, yes I am aware of Cookies age but he's still on the up.
  8. No, indeed you weren't but I thought you were meaning 'to win it' anyway I was very pleased with our silver and that "weak" team getting FA ;-)
  9. They'll probably both retire after they've been lapped a few times.
  10. Well he's hardly going to say he's done anything wrong, whether he has or he hasn't. I'm still supporting our team and will be pleased with a medal of any colour, but it would have looked more professional it the whole team had been together for a few days, exactly how the Poles do it. We are allowed to be critical in a constructive way and that's what I believe I've been. Anyway it's all too late now, what will be will be.
  11. Well you'd hardly expect him to say anything different.
  12. If it had been in Poland, they would have been practicing for weeks and attendance would have been compulsory. Anyway good luck to GB, any medal would be a bonus.
  13. While Tai and Robert might or might not have gained much from the practice, I think it would have sent out a better message and statement of unity and intent if ALL team members had been there. Maybe that could be a requirement next time?
  14. Their under 21 rider was Viktor Kulakov. He had 3 rides in place of the absent Laguta (who they chose not to replace).
  15. ALL British riders should be allowed to ride in both leagues.
  16. Good selection, it can't have been easy but that's the team and the very best of luck to them, anywhere in the medals would be great.
  17. With the current World Cup format, we'll need a lot more points than those.
  18. Isn't it about time all this stupid sh!te stopped?
  19. Both track and crowd looked about the same size as Lakeside.
