He would never do that! His dad wanted him to ride for GB and he would never go back on that. People are just being silly or demonstrating their insecurity. It won't happen!

Lakeside In The Play Offs?
foamfence replied to HAMMER180's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
They just don't have the spark of the other top teams, especially when you think of their tremendous home advantage of riding on that mini-roundabout of a track. I can't imagine any team gelling greatly with such a disagreeable character as Bridger spouting off. -

I notice Greaves was on a GTR, not that it will have contributed to his unruly riding as he was already well known for getting under the feet and crashes, a Bridger in the making? -
It's rather sad but that's how things have to be in all sports these days, otherwise the use of drugs would soon be considered as necessary as a crash helmet.

Bomber 6 Year Silencer Trouble
foamfence replied to dazzafl's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
It pretty much has already and the doctored tracks of today are contributing to it. -

Funny though that Eddie Kennett has never been the same since the discovery of his erm 'modified' silencers. -

Well, well, well. Money can't buy everything -
These are supposed to have a superior lubrication system and longer service intervals.

They then dropped him from his last ride. -
Zmarzlik and Doyle have used them. The thing is that if you have a large investment in another make, you need to be fully confident before going over exclusively.

Totally agree.

Hope she's soon up and about and asking the doctors all sorts of daft questions.........Good luck Charlie, you're a good example to many. -
We don't hate winners, we're all immensely proud of our Olympics squad. People are allowed to criticise as well as praise, that's what forums are for.

Just post the trophy to Branford and Morley. -
There seem to be all sorts of things happening in the background, people keep going on about "certain issues" without revealing any details. WE pay to watch this so called sport, WE travel to meetings and are expected to stand in a dungheap of a stadium and remain orderly, while riders and officials bicker in private (except when they vault the fence and assault the paying public), WE are supposed to accept top-rated internationals picking and choosing what they will and will not take part in and WE are supposed to pay-up and shut-up while liars like the Swindon promotion sell season tickets on the promise that the second half of the season would be in a plush new stadium. If the powers that be and so-called superstars carry on disregarding the public, they'll soon find even less of the said public bother to turn up again and looking at some of the 'crowds' we see on SKY, it's seems that voting with the feet is already well underway.

British Speedway As A Brand....
foamfence replied to CookieIpswich's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
I don't see an instant fix, the chairman talks things up but his own track is the worst it's ever been. Lots of things are being done right but to empty stadiums. It would probably be better to withdraw from TV for a year and get a professional company in to launch a rebrand. That is of course if there really is a way back, maybe it's just run it's course. -
Well ticket price was one of the main reasons put forward by the BBC when they reported on the low crowd numbers at various events.

What Do You Think Of It So Far?
foamfence replied to Trevor's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
My 'biggest disappointment' is looking at empty stadiums on most SKY meetings, while Nigel goes on about the crowd. -
As many events are £200 a seat, it isn't that surprising.......What's Speedway's excuse?

He isn't contracted to Rye in the PL. It isn't irrelevant when he is owned by Redcar, would fit into the team and is better than Jye Etheridge (record wise). What some Redcar supporters are also complaining about is that Etheridge has been signed on the strength of his performance in a very low grade individual event at Redcar, while the fact that his PL average is 1.3 and he hasn't a single race win to his name, has been ignored.
