  1. Personally I'm a 'one big league' fan. The reason the 'Elite' is so named is because it's the highest level we currently have and for some people that is something to be proud of.
  2. The Polish situation might throw a spanner in the works, as would the likelihood that several top (but not GP) riders might not consider it worth it to come here for 14 meetings. I would prefer the 'one big league' set-up and NL riders only to replace anyone missing to ride abroad.
  3. There's the Polish League and the GPs, nothing else can match the money so they can do whatever they like. Personally I'd prefer to see us go our own way, whatever that would mean to the standard of riders, a couple of months and everyone would be used to it. Anyone wanting to miss meetings to ride elsewhere would have to be replaced by a NL rider NO EXCEPTIONS! The promoters would soon get the message when assembling their teams.
  4. It'll be root through the skip time, once everyone else has taken their pick.
  5. He didn't 'pullout last minute' he's been advertising his chickens on Twitter, to anyone who could take them, as he had arranged to fly to Australia, the flight was yesterday.
  6. There is without doubt some truth in their financial problems but very little in what you've heard.
  7. As far as I'm concerned neither should have been allowed, don't forget that Tai had declared that he wouldn't be riding in the EL in 2016. I know it was all in the rules (or what passes for rules) but it shouldn't happen again.
  8. I like Tai and I was a neutral between BV and Wolves but it leaves a sour taste when clubs can bring in such as Tai and Antonio, just to try and grab the silverwear. I'd prefer it if the four clubs had to stick with the team that got them to the play-offs in the first place (they shouldn't be able to gain from so called injuries and other dubious absences). There's enough nonsense in Speedway already, without having to try and explain this sort of stuff to newcomers.
  9. What do you think about hard compound tyres as a way of discouraging highly tuned motors?
  10. Tracks like that would be better for learners, get the fast riders on the fast tracks. We all saw how different two tracks can be in the EL grand final.
  11. It would be nice to have some better race tracks in the EL, Sheffield and Peterborough would be better than Wolverhampton and Lakeside. Come to think of it.....Any track would be better than Lakeside!
  12. I agree about the tuners, the trouble is that while JAWA could build a cheaper rival to this, they and GM simply haven't bothered, if this kicks them into action, it's been a success, whether or not it sells or how many units.
  13. There was no mention of it not costing a penny but fair enough, you know they're all liars.
  14. Not quite 'all' problems but it could still be a step in the right direction, when you consider what some spend on servicing.
  15. I would rank Bates above Clegg. Not sure I'd include Fricke (even with his title), He hasn't moved on at league level as much as I expected, mind you he could make up for that on Wednesday night.
  16. Not unexpected news but Good Luck Jason! You now have the time to heal well.
  17. He has what appears to be one of his last years GTRs in his Grasstrack bike.
  18. Isn't it usual for 'team mates' to borrow/lend a bike in such a situation?
  19. I don't 'hope' that Harris doesn't get a wildcard, the fact is that he wont get one and has already started plans to move in other directions, so I haven't agreed with you. As for Hancock/Doyle, you seem to be governed by wishful thinking, personally I'm not bothered who actually wins the title (it will be Hancock) because I accept that there are risks, confidence swings and various track conditions, it's nothing to do with who ranks top and it never will be, otherwise it would be boringly predictable. I'll let your bottom have the last word, if it must.
  20. He hasn't got a wildcard for 2017 and isn't expecting one. The injury to Doyle was accepted as an accident by far more qualified observers than you or I. Hancock was still in with a chance of being World Champion whether Doyle had or hadn't been injured, you never know how things would have gone.
